BEWARE of the sketchy billing practices of this dentist. On several occasions they have added extra services to my bill. When I asked for verification of pricing before getting those services, the price that I was quoted was significantly less than they charged. I've paid for each service individually at the time of service, but months after the fact they have contacted me with a long list of unauthorized charges. Stay away, or at least be very sure that you carefully check your bill and retain your receipt. Do NOT believe the office when they quote you a price for a service. I've already filled a complaint with the BBB.

Edit: Of course the dentist with the shady billing practices is going to try to blame the insurance company. Anything to get out of taking responsibility. Here's a few simple truths: 1) I've had the same insurance with 2 different dentists. I've received similar treatment. Beach Dental was the only company with an issue. Perhaps they're simply incompetent or perhaps they're dishonest, but either way the issue didn't occur elsewhere. 2) I asked for pricing and verification of insurance coverage before any service.

As an example, I had bitewings done less than one year ago elsewhere. When the hygienist wanted to do them, I asked her to either get my records from that company or verify that my insurance would cover a new set. I was told that she check and confirmed it was covered. Today (over a month later) they called me to let me know that this turned out to be a lie. Bottom line: Beware the shady billing practices of this company.
