I'd like to preface my review with the fact that I am practicing Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of PA. More important than that, I am a mom to a 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter. To say that I am "particular" when it comes to dental care for my family may be an understatement. For the most part, I am the sole person that my family sees for recare appointments (aside from the general dentists that I am employed by and practice alongside). So, you can imagine how I felt when our 5 year old son ended up with needing restorative dental treatment. As though needing dental work isn't enough for a 5 year old to face, our son deals with sensory processing integration difficulties that he receives therapy for. This means that the dental chair can be a pretty anxiety inducing experience for him, if not having the potential to being down right traumatic. I have seen his reactions in the chair first hand as a clinician, and I am his mom working with him. When our son's general dentist diagnosed the initial cavities, we completed a couple of therapeutic treatments to buy us some time. Unfortunately, things progressed and restorative needed to be completed. The next step is usually a referral to a pedodontist (pediatric dentist) for sedation restorations. We then went to the pediatric dentist. Long story short, the pediatric office was not for us. First and foremost, I did not feel comfortable at all with the treatment plan that was presented. I had a lot of questions about potential over diagnosis and treatment, which was completely disregarded and ignored with no resolution or discussion.

Since this review is not about that office, I'll end our experience there here. However, if you are a parent reading this, please use your best judgment on how people treat you and go with your gut. There are other options out there, like Beautiful Smiles Family dentistry. So, at this point in our saga what were we to do? I had a little boy who has difficulties in the dental chair and I knew he would need sedation for dental treatment. Who could do it though, and most importantly though who would listen and respect me as his mom and as a dental professional in regards to his care? Then I remembered Dr. Graver's literature (a general dentist who is also a registered anesthesiologist) that came into my office. I quickly looked him up and gave the office a call. My first experience was with Becky, the front desk coordinator. All I can say is "Wow. What a gem!". From the moment I called her practically in tears, she was so kind and encouraging. She very quickly got our son in for a consultation the same day! Next, was the office experience itself. Sophia was more than accommodating to make our son feel at ease the best possible. Dr. Graver came in and thoroughly consulted with me about my son's treatment plan.

My input was respected and considered. I was more than happy when we decided on what we both considered the perfect treatment plan for my son. We scheduled my son for the following week for sedation restorations. To say I was a ball of nerves was again an understatement, but again I knew we were in good hands. Everything about how the appointment was going to go was thoroughly explained to my husband and I. My husband was able to walk our son back before treatment, where Sophia, Jenn, and Dr. Graver were ready to take great care of our son. Becky gave us updates as the procedure took place, and before we knew it the treatment was complete. If you have gotten to this point in this lengthy review, I commend you. I just really wanted to give a thorough review of our experience. It has been nothing short of a Godsend for us in a true time of need. I also am so thankful to now have someone to refer my phobic patients or any patients that are facing difficulties with dental procedures who require any level of sedation to Dr. Graver. His expertise is truly needed and we are so lucky to have him close by. Thank you Beautiful Smiles Family Dentistry team for keeping the dentist office a more than positive experience for our son!

I called needing a wisdom tooth extracted asap. They took me same day! Staff was extemely friendly and professional. The dentist was amazing. He explained the options and discussed all my concerns and listened. I left feeling good and definitely found a new dentist! Highly recommend for people with dental anxiety!

When you walk in the door you are always warmly greeted like an old friend. The dental hygienist are superb at getting your teeth looking like a million bucks, all the while making you comfortable and relaxed. Dr.

Graver has genuine pride and professionalism that even a routine cleaning was performed to a high standard. This solidified my decision a long time ago to stick with Beautiful Smiles for my dental care.

I needed an oral surgeon quickly, as an implant was failing faster than expected and the loose tooth was distracting me every waking moment. I couldn't wait for the surgeon who had placed it to fit me in to his packed schedule. I was feeling angry and anxious. Therefore, I was quite pleased by the cheerful, friendly, compassionate staff at Beautiful Smiles! Every person was welcoming and competent. I especially appreciated Dr.

Graver's willingness to share with me the details of the procedure as he removed the implant and cleaned the socket, etc. He is genuinely a people-person and made me feel like I was in good hands. Also commendable was the kind way he treated his staff, encouraging, teaching and complimenting an assistant as they worked. I am so glad I contacted Beautiful Smiles Family dentistry!
