EDIT By my 3rd dental visit, the communication here had dropped significantly. The dental hygienist I was with the first time had left the practice, and I was paired with a new one on my second visit. She was way to rough for my liking, which I have not had problems with at any other practices I’ve been with, so I asked to be put with another hygienist. They acknowledged that request, but didn’t follow through with it. So the next cleaning I had (I get 4 annually) was just as rough as the last. My biggest frustration was the communication about a cracked tooth I had from grinding. It is even reflected in my medical notes. The hygienist was not understanding what I was frustrated about. I understand that cracked teeth can happen at any point, quickly within a day’s time. What I was upset about was when the dentist came in and did a quick look in my mouth, he said that everything looked the same as it had looked previously. What? Was there always a crack or not?? Because all previous visits were defined as wearing on the teeth, no crack mentioned. So when you communicate out loud to the patient that everything looks the same, that is interpreted as there has always been a crack. It was just a very different level of focus from the team than when I was first getting established as a new patient.
It is also frustrating that even though I requested after every visit a note be put in on how to pronounce my name, no one bothered to look at the note, if there ever was one I guess. Any other healthcare provider I have routinely been to has had no problem with the small requests I’d made. If you can’t bother to get my name right, change up the hygienist, or make sure to communicate with me about my oral health clearly/concisely, why would I keep coming back? I’ve stated going to Kirchner dental off Charlestown rd, where I had actual dental work done for that cracked tooth (it was a cracked filling from the grinding) and I am extremely happy with all the care I’ve received there. It’s what I thought Beechwood was going to be like. They’ve made a point to get my name right every time as well. It’s said that the devil is in the details, but so is success. —————- New patient experience. I wish every healthcare provider was like this place. Every single person here was top notch, it is VERY apparent that there was a certain meticulousness that went into choosing every employee there. They all have the same goal when it comes to why they show up to work every day. They take pride in what they’re doing and really make an effort to provide the best experience you could possibly imagine when it comes to patient care and communication. Small town atmosphere/warmth with big city skill. I recently had had a terrible experience at a local dentist in New Albany, and was having trouble finding a place that would take the radiographs that the crummy office had taken (I only get one set annually).
Beechwood, without hesitation, said they would be happy to use those radiographs, and if they felt they needed better quality pictures, they would comp them. And sure enough they followed through with that promise. I have never felt so cared for by a health provider before. Dr. Tang even called me the evening before my appointment to see if I had any questions or reservations. Sarah was my hygienist and she gave me helpful information and tools I’d never heard of before, and a stellar cleaning. No one gave me pushback about me wanting to keep my permanent retainer, they really listened to what I had concerns about, while simultaneously giving me information to continue to improve my oral health. I even received a hand written thank you card from Dr. Tang in the mail. This place is magic. If you want a dental care team that’s overall goal is to be your teammate when it comes to your oral health, and has wonderful communication all around, go here. You’ll see what I mean and find yourself writing a similar review.

Always have a wonderful experience here! I love my hygienist, Janet, she is always so easy to talk to and she shows me what my x-rays look like as she takes them, which I appreciate. I haven't had that experience else where. Dr. Tang and his assistants Gabby and Shawna are wonderful.
I'm high anxiety, and they are always so patient with me when I have to get work done. Gabby at one point during my filling noticed I was shivering and got me a blanket. I was so surprised! That's treatment I wouldn't expect anywhere, except maybe at my grandma's house. The team here really, truly, cares!

Ive been experiencing tooth pain all weekend. I was out and about all Monday morning. I happen to Google, dentist near me, and this one popped up. I walked in and was greeted immediately by the woman working the front desk. She politely asked what brings me in today & I told her. I filled out some paperwork on the computer. I told the receptionist that I was in severe tooth pain, and If I can be seen today, it'd be perfect.
Mind you, I drove around to 5 different dental offices before I found them. Beechwood was patient with me and was able to get me in and checked out. Thank you to Dr Tang, the dental assistant, & all the staff who were hands on deck to get me taken care of. Most dental offices were booked out. But they showed concern & had open availability today!! Thank you again so Much! I will continue to use you guys as my primary dental care. Thank you guys so much.
