After his military service, he pursued his dental education at Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2013. During his dental studies, he was notably active, serving as President of the Tri Service military club, which raised significant funds for homeless veterans' dental care, and as a student delegate for the Illinois State Dental Society. He has also participated in multiple humanitarian dental missions abroad.
