So I found this dentist office after the website said it was in-network with my private insurance. I even called to verify. After telling them which insurance I have, I was placed on hold twice, then a different lady answered asking can I help you? Well. . . . you guys placed me on hold. . . so I figured they would come back to help me schedule my appointment.

. . . ? No biggie. After being asked again which insurance I have, I was told sternly that "we don't take that. " (My insurance verified they indeed do) and didn't offer me any other options. It seems they rather turn away people with cheaper insurance and only take clients with big-name insurance plans to cash in on. If you have HMO or your insurance coverage is even a question, don't even bother.

I cannot rate this place any higher. If you want a no nonsense dentist whom recommends only what needs to get done this is for you. I went to one of the newer fancier places on Division for a cleaning and they gave me an estimate of nearly $2000 for work I needed done. I went to Blue Line dental for a second opionion and he saw the x rays and paperwork from the other place and told me in no uncertain terms that I did not need that work done. He filled one cavity that I needed and that was that. I can safely say one visit to Blue Line Dental saved me over a thousand dollars.

That was in 2016 and I haven't had a problem since. He has 30 years experience and his family has owned the building since the 70's. Granted he doesn't have a water feature in his waiting area but you can see in his prices that you aren't paying for the decor. This is a true neighborhood gem.

I was in town to visit family. I knew that I needed some dental work, but out of nowhere, I had horrible pain in what I thought was my left upper side. A family friend suggested Blue Line Dental. 5 STARS!! The girls in the office were very pleasant, I obviously had no appointment, but Dr. Marrero made it work. After some x-rays, it turns out that I had some pretty bad decay on my bottom left wisdom tooth.

He suggested a cleaning and removing the wisdom, so that's what I did. I am the biggest baby with pain and I must say the extraction and the days after have surprisingly been a breeze. I was able to enjoy my last day, fly home, work a 12 hour shift as a server and I'm fine. THANK YOU BLUE LINE DENTAL! I appreciate the honesty from Dr. Marrero. Most offices hit you with a horror story and 10 must haves that day or your mouth will fall out.

Yes, he let me know a couple areas that need attention soon but he took care of my immediate problem. He didn't break my bank either. I don't write reviews, but I was very pleased by experience.

This place is always so accommodating, My mom had a horrible tooth ache,and although they were already fully booked, they were able to sneak her in , The girls in the office are always looking out for the customer. Thanks again,
