Dr. Barry D. Elbaum, DDS, is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon who founded the Center for Oral and maxillofacial surgery (NJCOMS). The clinic is a multi-office practice with locations in Ocean, Freehold, Hazlet, Jackson, and Brick, New Jersey, among others. Dr. Elbaum, who has since retired, was a highly credentialed professional, holding diplomate status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the National Board of American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He was also a respected figure in the dental community, serving as the Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Monmouth Medical Center for thirty years and as a past President of the Monmouth/Ocean County Dental Society. The clinic, NJCOMS, which Dr. Elbaum helped build, specializes in a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures. These include dental implants, extractions (including impacted wisdom teeth), biopsies, and care for medically compromised patients.
