Dr Deaver is an amazing doctor. Before coming to him I was extremely fearful of dentists, now my visits are enjoyable! I love how he is able to put me at ease, tells me everything he is going to do before he does it and takes a personal interest in my life. Thanks Dr Bob for being the caring individual that you are.

I am writing this review although it has been about 6 months since I visited last because now that I have an amazing dentist and I know what a great treatment can feel like I even more strongly feel about my extremely unpleasant experience with Dr Casimir and Classic Smiles. It should not be wrong saying that I was made to feel scared with my dental health and extorted heavily out of pocket even after having a good insurance and that too just for a cleaning which the doctor didn’t even spend half n hour doing although mentioned it’s in horrible condition with gum infection. I was also proposed 6 immediate fillings and I was sent home in my second session after waiting for over an hour saying my BP is too high to apply a local freezing for a filling. It was my good fortune that I made up my mind to cancel my next appointment and not continue here long enough.
My current dentist and her stuff is amazing, I had a thorough cleaning (where I clearly see the difference), I was told I don’t have any infection and only need one filling immediately and the rest low cavity fillings could be done with a gap of even couple months. I got the filling done (my BP reading my same, a little elevated than normal but clearly not scary enough to not do a dental filling), my out of pocket cost was minimal. I wouldn’t recommend any new patient to put their faith on this place and trust that they have your best intention in mind. Too transactional.
I didn’t find the front desk or my dentist to be rude but definitely misguided.

Someone called me saying she saw my resume on indeed. Asked me how long have I been a dental assistant and when I replied 14 yrs she asked me in an intimidating manner “why”. Maybe because I’m qualified and went to school for it. Definitely never heard those questions from any other employer. She was personal not professional!

First off, I want to say that I never left a bad review in my entire life, but this is one of those horrible experiences where I feel I’m obligated to leave an honest review in hopes of helping future potential customers from getting scammed by this dental clinic. Please AVOID this dental clinic at all costs. I moved from Canada to Chicago last year and this was my first dental visit in the US and my experience was beyond awful. They processed fraudulent claims for services that they never provided and blatantly lied when filing the claims to my insurance provider: “(D0150) comprehensive oral evaluation – new or established patient” and “(D0210) intraoral - comprehensive series of radiographic images” for a total of $303. 00 which they submitted for services that they never provided which is both unethical and illegal. They will try to upsell you on absolutely unnecessary dental/hygiene services in order to make a profit without caring the slightest bit about your oral health or wellbeing. Even though I had an appointment scheduled at 3PM and arrived 15mins prior to my appointment time I still waited until 3:42PM for them to accept me while the front desk lady, hygienist and doctor were all listening to a sales pitch (followed by nonstop small talk) from a salesperson that happened to walk in a few minutes after me. I came in for simple cleaning & checkup since my teeth are perfectly fine and before even starting the cleaning procedure, they were trying to upsell me nonstop on 16 x-rays, full oral examinations, etc. even though I had all this done in Canada by my previous dental provider 9 months ago.
This clinic was adamant on doing their own X-rays and examinations while stating that my previous X-rays are not valid since they were not done by them which is complete nonsense and untrue. I didn’t want to do X-Rays as I try to avoid unnecessary radiation on my face and politely asked them not to do this since I do not consent. They said they cannot perform the oral hygiene/cleaning without these X-rays that only their clinic can do. I also noticed their oral hygiene sets/tools/scrapers were all scratched up and it was obvious that it’s been years since they were replaced and/or properly maintained. At this point I respectfully declined their services and headed for the exit. I told both the main doctor and the front desk lady that I’m canceling my appointment for all of the above reasons and told them to shred all my personal insurance information as I will not be coming back to that clinic. They both ignored me and did not even try to rectify any of the above issues while smiling at each other as I left. A few weeks later it turns out that they filed two claims to my insurance provider for fake services that they NEVER provided totaling $303. When I called to speak with the clinic, I was re-assured by the same front desk lady that those charges “would be reversed in a couple of business days” and no claims would be submitted since no services were provided.
I’ve been waiting and following up since, three months later and these claims still have not been reversed contrary to what the lady at the front desk told me who was extremely rude, unprofessional and ended up hanging up the phone on me when I tried to politely understand what they did and why they did it. Furthermore, I can no longer get a hold of anyone at that clinic since they’re now screening my calls intentionally and not replying to any of the voicemails I left. This dental clinic will try to find every loophole and opportunity to capitalize and take advantage of the insurance system for their own greedy benefit. They don’t care about their patients nor their reputation, all they apparently care about is money. I filed a grievance letter with my insurance provider and reported their unethical services. Hopefully this will deter future potential customers from having to deal with such negative experiences at this clinic. Please stay away from this place.
