Had an appointment for a regular checkup that was scheduled 6 months in advance. With less than a weeks notice they called me to reschedule. I called them back and there was no answer. This went on for a few tries. In between the game of phone tag, I received a text message asking me to confirm my appointment. I still tried to call and still was unsuccessful reaching anyone in the office. The appointment was a Monday and on the preceding Friday I received a second text message asking me to confirm my appointment, this time I assumed they sorted out whatever was driving them to reschedule my appointment and responded "yes". They followed up with another text on Sunday night as a final reminder that I have a Monday morning appointment.

I arrive Monday morning to be told, that they tried to reach me and they could not see me that morning. I explained my attempts to call, and the text message that confirmed and reminded me about the appointment. "Oh, That's just our automated text system" Oh well, thing happen, Right? When rescheduling they told me that I must take an evening / late after noon appointment that was some weeks off. I explained that I didn't think it was fair that I would need to miss time with my family or work for no mistake on my part and that I would not mind waiting for an early morning appointment. I was met with some resistance. Confused with the resistance from the receptionist, I asked if I missed something or if I made a mistake I was not aware of because they left me with the impression that I was being unreasonable. The question was answered with a question. "So, you want to be in here early in the morning, as soon as we open?" She pounded away on her computer and told me that it would be next year before they had an appointment.

At this point, I was considering all the efforts I made to call them back, communicate with the automated texts, and now the two receptionist that were not very empathetic, it all angered me but, I didn't want to lose my patients. I said I something like, I guess I will find another dentist. As I turned around I saw a smirk and they didn't try to stop me as I walked out. Most of all, I am disappointed because up to this point, the staff and doctors have been great, I even referred a few friends and family there because I had such a great experience over the many years I have been a customer. I plan to copy this review in a text file on my computer so I can repost it in the event I find it's been deleted AGAIN.

I rarely do these reviews but, I have been a patient at Colonial Park Family Dentistry for several years. I have always been very happy with my care. All of the people there do a great job including the office staff, dental hygienists, dental assistants and the doctors. At various times I have seen all of the dentists and have found each to be very thorough and careful. My main dentist has been Dr.

Gao and I can't say enough about his work. He explains everything and his work is meticulous. Very happy.

I just returned from my 1st visit at this office (other being here with my kids some months ago), and I just wanted to commend the staff. The receptionists were kind and courteous. The hygienist met me at the front, took me back to the room, and introduced herself to me with a smile. Her name was Georgette. She was gracious, peaceful, and thorough.

The dentist (Dr. Gao) also kindly introduced himself and welcomed me to their practice. While I know that it might seem a small thing, I believe that introducing oneself and looking people in the eye is something of a lost art. I am grateful that our family has found this practice so close to home!

Do not go here. This was the worst dental experience ever. The dentist had no idea what he was doing. He was supposed to prep a root canal tooth for a crown after pregnancy. So he knew that the tooth could be more soft than normal. This was my first crown. He drilled, drilled and drilled. After awhile he asked me what was used to fill the tooth because he didn't know.

I have never had a dentist not know what they were doing. Apparently, he didn't review my records. After all the drilling he said the tooth needed to be removed. He explained that the tooth started to fall apart at the front so instead of stopping and discussing with me he decided to just keep drilling. So then the right side did the same thing. . . .

so he KEPT DRILLING! Moved to the left side and same result. He literally drilled out almost my entire tooth before stopping to talk to me to ask what the filling was. He destroyed it on purpose then recommended it be pulled because he couldnt do it. I made him fill what he destroyed even though he was very clearly annoyed to have to do work. I then went and found a REAL dentist that not only saved the tooth but was able to crown it. Forest Hills is the best
