I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Claiborne recently and was more than happy with the care I received. Firstly, the woman I spoke with on the phone, Jennifer, as well as her co-workers were very kind and informative. I have extreme anxiety over needles, blood, etc. and Dr.
Claiborne was very understanding and accommodating. He made sure I was completely out during the surgery and couldn't feel a thing. 7 days later and I am almost completely healed and back to normal. I highly recommend them!

I'm not one to spend time writing reviews, especially for something like an oral surgeon, but my experience was great and I was disappointed to see all the negative reviews. Having avoided the dentist for an embarrassing amount of time (partly because I was avoiding getting wisdom teeth removed), I accrued a bunch of dental problems until one day I finally decided my health outweighed my phobias. My dentist immediately referred me to CT Oral & maxillofacial surgery Centers to deal with a broken and semi-erupted molar that needed to be removed (along with wisdom teeth), and I picked the North Haven location since that's the one closest to me. I went in for a consultation with Dr. Hoang, who was super thorough and answered every last question (I had a ton). It took a while to get an appointment for the actual procedure, but I waited so I could have Dr. Hoang, and I'm glad I did.
When the day came, I was a ball of nerves. I immediately broke down crying once in the exam room because I was so scared (embarrassing in my 30s, but that's how afraid of dentists I've become!). The nurses/dental assistants (?) were SO sweet and compassionate and really helped calm me down. I went with IV sedation because of my level of anxiety, and the second they administered it, I was completely unaware of what was going on. It felt almost like general anesthesia, because the next thing I knew I was awake and it was over! He removed all three problem teeth within 25 minutes - it was incredible. I'm on day 3 of recovery, but I felt basically fine the within the same day of my procedure. I still have some healing and a bunch of soft food ahead of me, but Dr.
Hoang's swift work coupled with his and his colleague's incredible compassion did wonders for me in breaking down my long-held dental phobia. I'm honestly amazed how easy the surgery was and now I wish I had done it sooner. Cannot thank Dr. Hoang and the staff there enough! I highly recommend this group for anyone else who has bad dental anxiety.

Dentist was kind of pushy I paid my bill in full cash 3 months later they send me an additional bill for 195 with no explanation email or anything just demanding more money. I wish I used a different surgeon.

Was referred last year by my dentist. But I never followed through due to weird energy. Went to the consultation appointment and the vibes were wayyy off. The assistants were whispering to each other and my gut didn’t sit well. I will be asking for another referral to a different oral surgeon. On top of that they charge $80 just to look in your mouth. Absolutely sick.
