This was the worst treatment of a fully insured patient (myself) that I have ever experienced! I was given third degree questioning about my job, and would not perform any other steps until my insurance was verified which only takes a day at best! They were more concerned of my insurance coverage than they were my dental or periodontal needs. They scheduled my procedure four months out, as if they really didn't want to give me service.

Does it really take four months to verify my insurance?? I think not! There were no please or thank you, very unprofessional and very inpersonal service I do not recommend and I will not be back!

I took my mom here since we were referred to them by her primary dentist. Let me say this if you are a person of color, don’t go here. If you speak English as a second language don’t go here either. They treated my mom like she was a kid that couldn’t understand. I was her translator and they wouldn’t let me in the room on the first appointment. The assistant that wears black scrubs and has dark hair is very rude and unprofessional. My mom’s primary dentist office sent over X-rays so we wouldn’t have to pay for them again but the assistant with the black scrubs clearly didn’t give a damn and just took X-rays anyway. Since I couldn’t go into the room, I wasn’t able to tell them that my mom had an extraction done and her socket was still healing. The assistant made my mom open her mouth very wide and was very rough when taking the X-rays. My mom stated days after this appointment that her mouth was still very sore from opening her mouth so wide. We only met the doctor on the first appointment and didn’t meet him after that.

The second appointment where my mom got her cleaning done, they took less then 20 minutes to clean the left side and were teaching her how to brush her teeth. The older assistant stated that she has done this for 35 years but when I watched her clean my mom’s mouth she wasn’t doing a good job. This assistant treated my mom like she was a kid as well and probably thought my mom was unintelligent. My mom is in her 50s and does understand a little English to get her by. My mom was very disappointed with this office. She didn’t like how they didn’t clean her teeth thoroughly. We called the office stating that my mom wasn’t pleased with her appointment. The front desk stated there was a communication barrier since my mom doesn’t speak English. They put the blame on my mom saying she wasn’t sure of what was going on. I grew up in America since I was a baby and I wasn’t pleased with how they cleaned her teeth, and how they talked to my mom. Also the older assistant was very hard to understand underneath her mask, she mumbled too much and didn’t speak properly.

It was very clear the staff did not want to treat my mom since my mom wears her traditional clothing. One more thing about the second appointment. We came 10 minutes early but we waited 15 minutes past her appointment time. Every other patient that came in was Caucasian and was taken back immediately while we were kept waiting. This is unprofessional. As much as the doctor is nice and kind, the staff is disrespectful and unprofessional. I didn’t mention this to this office to see how they treat their patients: I worked in a dental office for several years and am becoming a dentist. You don’t treat any of your patients like this. No matter what differences you may have between you and your patients, you treat them with care and make sure they enjoy their experience. This office also billed insurance for the X-rays and for her cleaning and sent us a bill for over $300 that they expect us to pay.

I've been going there for two years, and from the beginning it was documented that she scared with anxiety etc. . . but I've always held it together. This morning, I had a hygienist that I've never had so I asked her can you please be a little easy but I also know you have a job to do, she gave me a white napkin and said raise this if it hurts. I'm like cool. So I make it through a few painful hits during this cleaning then she hit the point, I jump and was like whew I can do this, I need a minute, she aggressively pushes the light to the side, threw done her implements and stopped. I said I just needed a moment she resumed but pushed harder and was shaking her head saying to me " you are a trip" repeatedly.

I got up and said I'm done. She grabbed the dentist bib off of me and snatched the classes off my face. She assaulted me. 10 yrs ago I would've kicked her. . . But instead I called the police and you know that the white hygienist played victim against the black patient. The police let it happen but I got an incident report.

Dr Radar did come out and said "what do you want us to do" just defending his employee that assaulted me. Another racist case of a white woman in the wrong and plays victim to the police against the black patient that did nothing. This place is racist! It doesn't even have any black employees. Don't go there if you are black. Now, let me contact my legal team.
