First, let me say I don’t think Dr Mike is a bad dentist, but if you book here please do so with caution. It’s been over a year since my terrible experience at this office. And now that the repercussions have shown themselves completely, I’d like to share my experience: November of 2023, I fell and cracked a front veneer clean across. It was very old, and I knew it would have to be replaced. I booked an appointment with Dr Mike. When I arrived he was not there, another dentist took me. I’m not going to mention her by name. I’m not here to ruin people’s day, just to inform with an honest account. I agreed to let her replace both front veneers so they would match better. This was supposed to be 2 appointments 1-2 hours each. 6 appointments later (most took over 3 hours), I’m left with two complete caps/crowns and gum disease. Here’s how it went down: 1. She could not remove the original veneers. Took 3 hours, and had a rough time with all the tools and molds. Even dropped a few on my face. Everyone has bad days, so I let it slide.

2. The temporaries she applied started chipping off within a week. 3. The new “veneers” took two weeks longer than expected to arrive and didn’t fit anyway. 4. She couldn’t remove the temporaries she had put on. Another 3 hours. And a lot of pain. 5. She pushed my gums back so far with some metal tool and left it there for so long, they have never returned to normal. I now have gum disease due to the prolonged tissue trauma. 6. The second set of veneers also didn’t fit so she filed away my teeth to little points and still could not fit them. She then remolded and sent to the lab for full caps/crowns to be made. 7. Came back for the new crowns and she could not fit them on AGAIN.

Finally called in Dr Mike who was able to finish the job. 8. Dr Mike has a much better bedside manner. I gave two stars not one, only because he at least showed some skill and some empathy. He tried to give as much information as possible, but he did not, however, tell me the truth when I ask if my gums would be ok. He said gum tissue has “incredible healing capabilities”. My gums never healed. Never returned to a normal shape. They are pushed up and misshaped for good. I’m dealing with inflammation now and constant bleeding. Gum disease. 9. All in all, I’d say go here for basic work - and with caution. Do not let anyone except Dr Mike work on you. And don’t do anything cosmetic or complicated.
