I was called today to reschedule my son’s appointment because the doctor now has a two-hour procedure scheduled for another patient. I took time off work specifically for this appointment, as well as another one, and it’s extremely inconsiderate to be told last minute that it needs to be changed. When I originally booked this appointment, there were no 2 o’clock slots available. The longtime staff member who scheduled it has been working there for years and clearly knew what she was doing. However, the person who called me today implied it was a scheduling error on their part, which felt like they were shifting blame rather than taking responsibility. They offered me other times that same day, but I already have prior arrangements and couldn’t adjust my schedule on such short notice. It honestly felt like they were prioritizing the other patient because it was a longer, more expensive procedure—they were clearly catering to the money rather than treating all patients fairly and with respect. I expressed my frustration respect and was met with silence. When I said it might be time to find another dentist, she hung up on me.

Completely unprofessional. Now, I’m left without an appointment until summer and having to scramble to find a new dental office in Charlotte. I’ve overlooked previous issues here, but this was the final straw. East Charlotte Dental has truly declined over the years, and this experience was incredibly disappointing. This was the original review 5 years ago. When I tell you I don’t know where to start!!! My children have been going here for sometime and at first I was not pleased with the dentist that was there some time ago. However they have an awesome Dentist who is there now. Dr. Byrd is awesome and all 3 of my children love her.

My husband and myself love her. Dr. Byrd is patient and really good with kids. My husband took my 3 year old to her dentist appt this morning where she had to get some laughing gas and a small procedure. (The last attempt by the old doctor was not good at all!!!) My husband said she came in the room so positive, upbeat and talking to my 3yr old. She made the procedure seem like it was nothing and my 3yr old didn’t cry or feel a thing. My husband was back home home ranting and raving how awesome Dr. Byrd was!!! He has always been terrified to go to the dentist but he said if she can be his dentist then he’ll go!!! I am just so happy that they have a doctor who really cares about their patients and takes the time to give Excellent care!!! Thank You!!!

If there was the possibility of scoring zero I would. My husband went to get dentures made and it's been 6 months no teeth no answer as to where they are. One of the assistants was busy being rude and nasty to him she ruined the impression. The office is nasty beyond belief and dirty. Just taking advantage of people on Medicaid and Medicare.

This is the worst dentist office I have ever been to, My very first appointment I was told I needed to get all of my teeth extracted, which I did and then call back in three weeks to schedule an appointment to have dentures made. So I called to schedule the appointment and I was told that I needed a prior authorization for my insurance in order to get them, And that they would send over the prior authorization, And two weeks later I was told by my insurance that they never received a prior authorization from them.

So once again, I called and no one can still give me an answer to why they have not done what they are supposed to do. They have no concern for their patients whatsoever and no one in the office seems to know what's going on with anything never go to this dentist

This was not a great place. I feel like the dentists I had ( a different one every appointment) were tying to rush me in and out and would not listen to what I was trying to talk to them about. They were Verry pushy with things I expressed I wasn’t comfortable with and didn’t have a pleasant attitude.

The few dentists I had that did not fall under this description were very young… everyone had to start somewhere but I never left right once I left, my teeth hurt and didn’t feel fixed overall.
