Before I go forward with this review I’d like to tell all of you that I get 3-4 cleanings a year, every year. I have a little recession on a k9 with some enamel exposed which I informed the hygienist about immediately after she entered the room, this has never been an issue. The hygienist applied a numbing topical gel before cleaning my teeth, and didn’t announce what it was until I asked her. Figured I shouldn’t have to ask and there should be some transparency, since that’s not standard. Then as she’s cleaning my lower teeth she asked if the gel had worn off, I told her yes and that if she was going to apply more that she should apply it to the area needed (the K9) not the lower teeth before cleaning if she knows she’s going to get aggressive in that area. She didn’t, and sure enough got aggressive while scaling with her metal tools on the area with the exposed enamel with recessed gums.
I flinched and had to pull the suction out of my mouth to tell her that I told her to apply more to the K9 if she knows she’s going to get aggressive. She told me that she “thought she did” but I had already established with her that it wore off fairly quickly. Let’s think about this, if we’re cleaning the lower teeth and aren’t anywhere close to being done and moving on to the upper half, why apply the numbing gel around the entire mouth and 10 minutes later expect the highly sensitive area to still be numb if we already established the numbing gel wares off quick? After this she coughs repeatedly on multiple occasions and can’t stop all while facing me with my mouth wide open. No ‘excuse me’, no stepping out of the room for a second out of respect to cough or clear your throat, no ‘sorry. ’ Nothing. Continues to polish my teeth and as I rub my tongue across the inside portion of my lower teeth I can still feel buildup that wasn’t completely removed.
Bad experience to say the least. Weren’t willing to discount a future cosmetic service and only offed to discard a fee from a missed appointment. I live in Indiana and had previously thought highly of them, I guess I had it all wrong.

Everything is absolutely perfect at East Eri Dental. The scheduling is always smooth and accommodating, the staff is incredibly kind and caring, and the dentists are not only highly skilled but also make you feel completely at ease. It’s clear that patient comfort and quality care are their top priorities. I truly couldn’t ask for a better dental experience!

This has been the most frustrating dental experience I have ever had, specifically due to the administrative and billing issues. The invoices provided after both of my visits have been inaccurate, requiring me to request an itemized statement to identify and fix significant overcharges. More recently, when I was notified of a pending payment via text, my requests for an invoice were dismissed with the claim that two of my valid email addresses were bouncing.
Ultimately, I was left with no option but to authorize a payment for a charge I was not allowed to see or verify. I don't recommend this place at all due to recurring billing errors and zero transparency.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at East Erie Dental Clinic was disappointing enough to warrant a warning to others. The dentist barely took the time to explain what was being done, and I left with more confusion than clarity. What’s worse, the level of service did not even come close to justifying the shockingly inflated charges. I was billed for procedures I didn’t clearly understand and definitely didn’t agree to upfront. It felt like being taken advantage of, not treated.
I walked out not only dissatisfied but also deeply frustrated. If you're looking for a clinic that values transparency, professionalism, and respect for your time and trust—this is not the place. Be warned: polished website, poor experience. Look elsewhere.
