Dr Newman was the worst decision i could of made. While not lacking at all in self confidence to be certain, his lack of emathy or compassion for the amount of pain he puts you in cant be overstated. I can only speak for myself but i would never go back here.

Dr Newman is very friendly, easy to talk to. Not a scary dentist. Until you need compassion. I had a root canal several years ago with no problem (not preformed by newman) recently it has been causing me pain. Intense jaw pain to the point where it hurts to speak, I can't sleep. I called Dr.

Newman at 10am on a Monday after waiting the weekend to call during normal office hours and he said he was done for the day. Now I understand the limited hours due to COVID but he sounded DONE like he didn't even want to speak to me. He rushed through an explanation of how I could call every morning, very early until I got an appointment. Once I had an appointment scheduled and I was seen he would begin thinking of a treatment. So I hung up the phone with no help, no hope for relief and no end to the pain in sight. I called another dentist recommended to me by a family member.

She asked many questions and used small prompts to help me describe exactly what the problem was. She said it sounds like an infection and I have a hope for relief within the HOUR!!!! I have an appointment scheduled as well. End of the day all Dr Newman cares about is the money. Over the years of being his patient I have been made to feel stupid and small from his responses to questions. I will never be returning and I am not sure why I stayed for so many years.

My family and I were all Dr. Newman's patients for many years. He's funny, personable, easygoing. . . the kind of guy you wish you were friends with in High School. . . a cool guy who knows the right thing to say at any given moment. My dental insurance was pretty darn good until I lost my job and my insurance. I had severe pain in a tooth that Dr. Newman said required a root canal. I had a previous root canal done by Dr. Newman a couple of years or so before, and he did a fantastic job, so I knew I was in good hands. I guess I expected his office to work with me financially since I no longer had dental insurance, especially since my family had been patients of his for so many years. I was wrong. . .

he had no intention of helping me in any way--either pay for the root canal or yank the tooth out. I asked him if I could take a few days to hopefully find a financial solution for this, and he agreed. I asked him if I needed an antibiotic in the meantime and he said I didn't. Well, he was WRONG. I got the nastiest infection I ever had--what felt like a huge, hard lump protruding from the side of my face. It was so big that I kept banging my hand against it because it didn't belong there. . . and it hurt a lot. I suppose you've already figured out that I couldn't find a way to financially swing the root canal :(. It was a very sad day for me when I went in to see Dr. Newman to have the tooth extracted. I remember he tried to squeeze some of the infection out but it was too hard to budge. He was able to pull the victim tooth, however, and was so cruel while he did it that I cried throughout the whole procedure. He didn't care--he pulled and I cried. . . tears cried because I was losing a tooth and, worse still, he was treating me like trash.

What happened to this man? He was Dr. Jekyll when I had insurance and turned into Mr. Hyde when I no longer had any. Had a loved one perished in a fire? Did he get a gloomy diagnosis from his doctor? I'll never know because I never returned to find out. I finally mustered up the courage to visit another dentist after some years without checkups or cleanings. I was forced, actually, because I needed another root canal. . . . . . but this time I had insurance--lousy, but insurance nevertheless--with an endodontist who was kind and reassuring and concerned for my well being. I was surprised when I got choked up and teary while he worked on my tooth though. I guess the experience with Dr. Newman was more traumatic than I thought. Don't walk, run, far away from this dentist.

When I need a procedure, I feel very comfortable having Dr. Newman evaluate and perform the work! He has been my dentist for 10 years with root canals, extractions, cavities and general maintenance.Dr. Newman has the experience and education that, coupled with an up to date facility and wonderful staff, add up to a very positive experience.
