I will put my personal experience with Dr. Gordeev in these paragraphs: Easy to talk to. Learns about patients on a personal level before beginning treatment to make patients feel more comfortable. This puts patients at ease and makes you feel the doctor truly cares about you as whole healthy person, not just about my mouth. Trustworthy. Since dentists are working with sharp metal objects in the mouth, a very sensitive area of the body, it is really important that they are trustworthy. I am certain that my dentist will try his best not to hurt me and will take all precautions necessary to make my experience pain free. A detail-oriented person. The mouth is an extremely small space to work in, so dentists must be detail oriented. The smallest misalignment of something in the mouth can wreak havoc on a patient’s bite and tooth health. Artistic. Dentistry is often referred to as an art.
It requires mastery and technique unique to the profession. Dentistry is largely based on maintaining proper oral health, but is also an aesthetically focused practice. A large part of dentistry involves restoring teeth and making a smile beautiful, one that the patient is happy to show to others. A leader. Leads a team of dental hygienists, technicians and assistants, manages other employees, such as the receptionist, while also making high-level business decisions for the practice. Excited about the profession of dentistry. Enjoys the work the does every day and is fascinated by the mouth and all of the connections it has to the rest of the body. Caring and concerned about how the patient feels during procedures. Communicates with the patient during every step of a procedure, making sure they are okay and not in too much pain. Good dentists go to great lengths to make their patients comfortable and relaxed without pain. Good communicator. Has a keen ability to distill complex procedures and processes into simple language so that the patient can understand exactly what is going on in his or her mouth and any procedures that the dentist suggests.
And simply an excellent dentist UPDATE Although I said above is true, however to be honest I had a very unpleasant experience lately. I do understand doctor is very busy and there’s a lot of patients. But I pay out of my pocket, no insurance coverage and of course I’m asking to make a fee is more or less reasonable. And it seems that the dentist was not pleased about that. So I have to schedule 23 months and events and my appointments just get changed on the day of the appointment from my appointment time to wait until there will be time for you. Which means at least three hour wait, it did happen in the past, but it was in the middle of treatment. After it happened twice in a row I no longer make appointments. Price wise I am not certain if the price for a root canal and a crown of $1000 is really discounted. So that particular tooth was fixed without a crown at $700 and I agreed because Doctor said it’s acceptable away of treatment. However when everything was done and I was not comfortable the story slightly changed, to doctor saying, well you should’ve done the crown. Also do not expect the quoted price and the price you pay to be the same, and no explanation will be provided why.

Helpful and caring staff. I don’t know their names but the lady at the desk, my doctor, and her assistant are all wonderful people and always take care of me. I have a lot of dental issues and I appreciate them being the only dental office that’s never rudely lectured me about it and treated me poorly because I made the mistake of not caring for my teeth. They do everything they can to make sure I’m not in pain during and after the visit. I’ve had several emergencies and they were always very accommodating.
I can’t stress enough how truly caring they are they’ve put in a lot of effort fighting with my insurance to try to save my teeth. Also the parking in the back is very convenient for the location. I Highly recommend this office.

I had a disappointing experience at Gordeev Dentistry. After my root canal, I continued to experience pain and sought a second opinion elsewhere because I was concerned about the cleanliness of the practice; the instruments weren’t sealed, and the overall environment seemed unclean. I discovered that the nerve hadn’t been completely removed, which required me to pay for additional treatment. When I contacted Gordeev Dentistry for compensation, they refused to assist me.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. And I regret I didn’t read reviews before going there.

They have 2 office locations. I nyc. Brooklyn 1 in nj. My whole family been coming to mikhails practice. Since 2001. Now im starting to do my teeth.
And had 3 back molars extracted. Which were taken out wit no pain at all I had a silent fever for 1 month running a infection. Marina and mikhail are very good and have lots of experience. All my family members had nothing but good things to say about his practice. And since i had bad past with dentists im happy to say i found my place.
