My children have been going there ever since they were little enough to begin routine dentist visits. There has been issues with staff along the way of impatience, and rudeness but we overlooked them because we really liked Dr. Hamblin. Last week I got a letter in the mail, they were dropping my eldest son, due to missed appointments. He had an appointment for a Monday that a member of her staff, called to cancel due to Dr.

Hamblin having an emergency. I have tried to call and leave voicemails due to this being unfair that my children have never missed any appointments, due to last minute no shows and no one will return my calls. I called today to leave a voicemail that I need dental records transferred to a new dentist office and amazingly enough, I got a call back within 2 hours to do that transfer. That office, has majorly declined over the last couple years. Do not recommend!

My two kids LOVE going to Dr.Hamblin's office for their cleanings! Her staff is super friendly, and Dr. Hamblin shows a lot of compassion and care for her patients. She really takes the time to explain things in ways I can understand which is so helpful. Any one looking for a dentist for their littles, Hamblin Family Dentistry is the place to go!

I took my sons for cleanings. The dentist and assistant were great! The issue occurred when we were trying to schedule follow up appointments. The receptionist would not work with me on schedule dates though the dentist had assured me she would. She told me the dates were what she said they were and couldn’t be rescheduled. She raised her voice, she yelled at my children who had grown impatient from waiting and listening to her. We just walked out b/c her treatment was inexcusable.

I called later that day to have records transferred to a new office. They failed to send the documentation and have not returned my calls since. I’m sure they’ll continue to onboard patients as they cannot seem to keep the ones they’ve seen. This was an awful experience.

This is the only dentistry I have been to in my twenty years. Personally, I never had any issues with Dr. Hamblin. On the other hand, her staff is incredibly difficult to work with, especially because they never pick up the phone! I have disregarded negative interactions with staff to avoid the hassle of transferring to a different dentistry. Despite that, I had to reschedule my most recent appointment because I am a student at Virginia Tech and could not drive home and back for my appointment on that day.

After rescheduling, I called MULTIPLE TIMES the day of to confirm the appointment AND left voicemails because I was unsure of the time for the appointment. I never received a call back. Since I wasn't sure what time my appointment was, I just drove to her office. Upon arriving, I was told I missed my appointment and that I "am no longer eligible to reschedule due excessive missed appointments. " When I asked the receptionist to list the appointments I had ever missed, she could only name one with.

She was rude and spoke to me with a snarky attitude. It is absurd that missing one appointment leads to being dropped from the dentistry.
