Detailed Introduction

Hamilton County Endodontics is a dedicated endodontic specialty practice located at 14757 Oak Rd #400, Carmel, IN 46033. Their mission is to preserve natural teeth and alleviate dental pain through expert root canal therapy and related procedures. The clinic is staffed by a team of highly trained endodontists, including Dr. Brian Tate, Dr. Michael Aslin, and Dr. Blake Prather, who have completed extensive post-dental school training, often two or more years beyond general dentistry education. The practice distinguishes itself by its commitment to utilizing state-of-the-art technology to ensure precise and comfortable treatment. This includes advanced tools such as operating microscopes for enhanced visibility, Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) for detailed 3D imaging, digital radiography for reduced radiation exposure, and ultrasonic instrumentation. These technologies enable them to diagnose and treat complex cases efficiently, often identifying issues not visible with traditional 2D X-rays, such as missed canals or small fractures. Hamilton County Endodontics offers a comprehensive range of endodontic services. Their primary focus is on root canal treatment, which is performed to address inflammation or infection within the tooth's pulp. They also specialize in endodontic retreatment for teeth that have undergone a root canal but are experiencing renewed pain or infection, and apicoectomy (endodontic surgery) for cases where non-surgical approaches are insufficient, involving the removal and sealing of the root tip. Additionally, they handle traumatic dental injuries and cracked teeth. Patient comfort is a priority, with options for oral sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) available to help anxious patients. Their dedication to quality patient care and advanced techniques aims to provide positive experiences and faster healing, helping patients maintain their natural smiles. They are known for their professional and compassionate staff, as evidenced by numerous positive patient testimonials highlighting their pain-free procedures and attentive service. Hamilton County Endodontics operates in Carmel, IN, and is also associated with Kokomo Endodontics.

If I could give more stars, I would. I hate having work done in my mouth. This experience was incredible. No pain. No worries. No rushing to get it done quickly. Root canal completed in under an hour. This is the place to get work done.

Dr Tate and his assistant Becca couldn't have been more gracious to me. I can tell they are experts are what they do, yet they took the time to talk to me about my specific situation and explained every step, at every stage of the process. This is all very much appreciated.

I saw Dr. Aslin for an apicoectomy. The consultation and procedure went well, however, the post-operative care was less than satisfactory. I had horrendous, excruciating pain. My husband called almost every day on my behalf. Dr. Aslin even gave us his personal number as the weekend was approaching, although, I am not sure why as he primarily ignored us. We had my pain medication refilled at least twice, maybe three times.

I was taking round the clock meds with minimal relief at best. I was told the first few days would be rough, however, when I went in a week later to have my stitches removed, I was in the exact same condition. I still had paralysis of my face, lips, and tongue. I could hardly move my mouth to speak, open my mouth to chew, and I could barely swallow puréed food, which I had to eat for almost two full weeks. I could feel an extremely large lump in my throat which impeded my swallowing and had a mass under my jaw the size of my palm which extend from my chin to the back of my jaw bone. I began to express my concerns during the post-op appointment where I was met with poor bedside manner and gaslighting. The doctor and the tech both assured me I would have relief now that the stitches were out. Two days later and I was still in the exact same condition.

I called and spoke with the office staff who conveyed my message to the doctor who then decided to start me on an antibiotic. After a week and a half. I was never asked to come in, never given an apology, never even spoke with the doctor after a week and a half of this nightmare. I ended up seeking care elsewhere for severe cellulitis. I have not had X-rays done since the infection cleared, so I am not able to speak on whether the procedure was effective. I would recommend either scheduling with a different doctor or seeking care elsewhere.

Outstanding experience. Dr. Aslin was able to see me right away when I called with severe tooth pain. Treatment was both fast and effective. He and his team were all excellent communicators, keeping me posted through the entire procedure so there were no surprises.

I was even so comfortable through it all that I may have fallen asleep a couple of times. Can’t say enough about the quality of my experience. This was my fourth root canal and far and away my best. Thank you!
