Took my kids out of school to go to their appt only to be told once I got there that they couldn't be seen until my balance was paid (Why did you wait until I got to the office to tell me that? And I've never seen a bill or gotten a phone call) So I paid it. THEN I realized I had ALREADY PAID THAT BILL months ago! I showed proof to the front desk clerk who had to call Billing who supposedly "reversed" the charge BUT it went through and no credit has been processed as of today. . . . so now I have to deal with getting a refund.

. . who knows how long that could take. Just pay attention and keep track of when you pay stuff there! And I guess when we make an appt we should ask if we have an outstanding amount??? Never had that happen before.

Trying to set an appointment was ridiculously hard. I called several times and they kept saying that they needed a health and physical form from my sons doctor. His doctor faxed it over and over again and I kept calling to see if they rcvd it and they kept saying 'No' finally, after almost a month going back in forth, the office lady told me that they did receive a form several times, but it was not the right form, there was a specific form from them that they needed to fax to my sons doctor to fill out which they never sent them all this time. Finally the form was filled out and she called right before they closed on a Saturday and said that someone canceled and I could take the appointment the next day on a Sunday at 6:30am. I took the appointment since it was soooooooo difficult get the appointment, but then I realized later that I wouldn't be able to make it that soon.

I tried calling back but since she called me right before they closed, no one was there when I called back. I called again when they were open to reschedule and the lady was very rude and said I did a 'No call, no show' so they can't reschedule. Wow! I definitely did call, but they were closed. Very unfair and its not like they could have taken another appointment in my absence since it was scheduled for the very next morning at 6:30am. No harm was done, there was no time to schedule someone else even if i did call back right before they closed.

At this point, I don't even want to go there anyway. Very unprofessional and rude on top of that.

EDIT: Almost 2 weeks later. I was scheduled to come back to get my son's teeth extracted. Apparently, they never set the appointment in THEIR calendar. I showed up for my appointment to find out that they never saved the appointment on their end. Their next appointment for an extraction isn't for another 2 months. I knew there was a reason for them fishing for reviews so badly. Best experience yet! My son woke up with a swollen face. I called, and Caitlin helped get him in very quickly.

They made sure my insurance was up to date. Ranisha was quick with helping him get back, so we didn't have to wait for very long. She made sure everything was ready to go for Dr Dantien to take a look. With them doing this, they made the process go very quickly and smoothly. We were in and out within an hour. The staff was so professional, helpful, and just outright amazing. I will always come back for my kid's dentistry needs.

I take my children to the office in Newport News. I liked the old office better. This one seems more like an office and less child friendly. We love Mary and her friendly colors! She always stands out against everyone else in all black.
