First off I was in pain. I asked for a appointment at the earliest with my usual dentist. I was told nothing until November 7th. I informed the receptionist that I could not wait 2 weeks with a tooth that needed to be pulled. I have used this facility 4 years ago numerous times. I have went to the portsmouth location as well as the Oceanview location with excellent care. She said if she had a opening she would give me a call. Less than a hour later she called. It was 11:30 and I could come at 1:30. At first I said I had a pysical therapy appointment I didn't want to cancel less than 24 hour notice . I ended up canceling my other appointment because I am in a lot of pain and the female dentist that is African American is the best. I took the appointment. I got to the office at 1:15. There was a note up that they were out till 1:00 for lunch. I took a seat. Lunch must of took longer. About 1:25 a female came in and took the sign down and gave me paperwork to fill out. I asked about the fees. I do have dental insurance and was asking what my copays were going to be.

She said she would look it up. I asked for a paper with what they charged. I was given what my insurance covers, but not what they charge. I get called back for xrays. This was the most incompetent person in the medical field I have seen in awhile. She was taking xrays of everything but the bad tooth. I was in severe pain as she was digging to place the pieces in my mouth at least 6 times. I finally said again what are the fees. The girl at the desk said 100 deductible which I could read on my sheet. I asked about a tooth extraction and the cost of dentures. I was told once 232 another time 245. I asked again to a nurse what are the fees. Still no up front answer in writing she said you have to ask the woman at the desk. The woman at the desk said with sarcasm " It it a full moon tonight"? Ok so girl on xrays asked me to step to the machine to get the xrays ,as the ones she was trying to get were not working. She also said"I am going to get someone to help that knows more than me" She set it up and had me standing stop and the machine hits my back and is left like that a couple of minutes. Finally someone comes from the back and observes. She attempted to fix the problem alone. The machine was too low and again with no help hit my other shoulder. I am beyond frustrated and tell them both I have had enough torture from getting xrays, and that this is ridiculous.

She said ok and takes me to the back. I sit on the chair and I say thank God that the dentist is good or I wouldn't be there. She asked what dentist and I tell her and she informs me " Oh well she isn't here today. I asked her you mean the oriental dentist is here and she said yes. I would not ,nor did I ask for her. I made it clear when I asked for the appointment that my normal dentist was in. I have had experience with the other dentist she is rough and takes forever to take out one tooth. I walked up to the front very upset. I left and I will never return. They were laughing and playing too much and making fun of people to show any compassion. This was around approximately 3:30 . Never go here. They used to be great. They are awful now. Maybe the one in Oceanview is better. The one dentist is excellent so sorry to have to say I will never be back. Do not go here.

Never again, worst dental experience I've ever had. Since going there I've had more dental work done and for more than pulling a tooth out somewhere else and I didn't go through no pain like I did when they extracted my tooth. The dentist was cold and unprofessional, when she number my gums the pain had me coming up off the chair!

I really like my dental hygienist Mikah Nicole! She is very gentle when administering local anesthesia, I’ve never had a needle feel so good going into my gums lol

I went in today to set up my initial appointment. I was greeted by Shamekia and Angie with smiles and courtesy. They handled my paperwork quickly and efficiently. They were very informative about their office visit policies and payment policies.

I really appreciated their willingness to answer all of my questions. Their smiles and laughter brightened what could have been a tedious chore. Many thanks!
