I called Joyful Dental to take care of a chipped tooth. Dr. Joy explained what they would do and the costs involved. She was very caring and easy to speak with. Dr. Hong was the one who cleaned my teeth and determined what to do about the chipped tooth.

My teeth felt and looked cleaner than I have experienced in a while. She is very knowledgeable and was quite helpful. I was happy that they listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly. Joyful Dental is my new Dental Care.

They are great! I’ve been getting regular cleanings and I’ve ended up having my first cavity filled in adulthood here. They treated me really well and have top notch Hygienists and Dentists. Absolutely recommend them!

I do not recommend joyful dental. I was overcharged, their equipment broke down. Heat wasn’t working. Both times I went, they charged me before my appointment. I’ve never had this done to me before and I’ve been to the dentist somewhere else since and they told me that this is not how things are done. You pay after you get services done.

In my honest opinion, I believe that any good reviews of this place are fake. You guys are the worst! I’m letting the bbb know. They use fear tactics and gaslighting to scare you into agreeing to things and make follow up appointments that you didn’t agree to. Notice the picture below they get an F from the BBB.

All of the good reviews for this place are fake. Please heed the warnings…. They think that because their patients are elderly that that can get away with the BS that they are doing. My mother was told her last balance was $290, I paid the $290 in anticipation of her getting her dentures. Before we left, I was told we could get on a payment plan for the $5500 dentures since it takes a few months to get them fitted. When we get to the next appointment , I was prepared to put $1k down for the dentures. I then am told that she owes another $585 for her last appointment.

The rude front desk lady says she needs to talk to the dr to see if she can be seen. Huh?? She speaks to the dr and then tells me that Dr. Joy won’t see her and that the next appointment we need to pay $585 + $2700. Um, what happened to the payment plan? And why wasn’t I called to be notified about the $585 balance? They had no answers for my questions. Dr Joy is a COWARD, she should’ve come out and told us that in person and then offered a better resolution. I have a dentist in Naperville that I have been with for 12 years and I have NEVER been gaslit like this. I took off work for this and they did not care, all they care about is money.

I, after being treated so horribly, of course, decided not to pay them the $1k and walked out with my mother. There are other past issues as well but this one took the cake. Our experience was NOT Joyful and she will not get another dime out of me. I work in healthcare and I know for a fact you cannot treat patients like that and think your business will thrive. Please save yourself the headache and go somewhere else, Dr Joy is NOT the only dentist in the area that caters to the elderly.
