I chose this office based on location, and I instantly regretted it. I went for a routine cleaning and expected, at most, to be told that I had some cavities and needed fillings. I was told so much more, including that my bite was in "severe" condition, "crooked teeth are not reflective of healthy teeth," and that I needed both a top and bottom retainer. In all my years of going to the Dentist, I've never been told a thing about my bite or teeth being "unhealthy. " As a child, I complained about my bottom teeth in terms of aesthetics, but I've always been told that my teeth were healthy and fine and there was no need to fix the crowding of my bottom teeth since they did not cause me any pain. Never mind this interaction being shocking and the doctor's attitude.

But the routine cleaning I went in for was done by the dentist himself and wasn't even done correctly or with care—But what do I know, being that I'm "not a Dentist," as the doctor told me? He was very rough on my teeth, yet I can still feel plaque left in them. I was not even properly flossed like a normal routine appointment. I have a follow-up schedule for fillings for 3-4 cavities. Update: Ten days later, I got an appointment with a different local dentist. I got new X-rays, another cleaning, and a second opinion on my teeth's current health. The dental hygienist was so kind and gentle.

I could feel the leftover plaque being properly removed and I was actually flossed. The doctor reviewed my teeth along with all the feedback Master Dental gave me and noted exactly what I thought - nothing was of concern with my teeth. Straightening out the crowding on the bottom was unnecessary, but I could do it for aesthetic purposes. The real kicker for me was that I didn't have any cavities or need any fillings.

Dr Malafis is seriously the best dentist I’ve ever had. He takes care, he’s thorough, doesn’t rush me out of the office and is always completely transparent about everything. Staff is really exceptional and everyone makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I’ve been coming here for 10 years and have never had a reason to reconsider. Highly recommend.

My new go-to for dental routine checks is Dr. Malafis. I made an appointment with him about some sensitivity problems. I got it fixed, and now I can drink cold and hot foods. The doctor is super chill. You can speak to him about any concern, get it fixed, and then boom, you're out of there. Also, the receptionist was super nice. They are very transparent about pricing.
