Dr. Monroe is a great dentist. He and his office staff are very friendly and helpful. They all seem to really care about their patients. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a new dentist in the area!

Dr. Monroe and his staff are always professional, friendly and a real pleasure to be around. Dr. Monroe is truly looking out for his patients best interests, while all along very aware of his patients comfort and total outcome of their visit.

I have been going to Dr. Monroe since I was about 10 or 11 and am now 29 and have moved to Durham - he and his staff are worth the 2. 5-3 hour drive for their friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism.

I cannot count the number of times they have been willing to work with me, from fitting me in the same day when they find a cavity to always being willing to work with my schedule (since I am traveling, I prefer Monday appointments to have a long weekend, etc. ) If I could give them over 5 stars, I would - they are that great.

I called this office around the 3rd week in November and asked did they take my insurance which is Medicade and was told yes. I did not make an appointment due to the holidays. Then I had an emergency a couple days later so I called, spoke to a lady who set up my appointment. When my she found out who my insurance was her entire polite personality changed and she snapped and said we don't take your insurance. I explained that they had said they did and even sent me medical forms to fill out and return online which I competed but then they said they never received my forms back. I looked, my forms were sent so I called the office back to explained what was happening and a different lady answers, we made the appointment and again as soon as she found out that my insurance is Medicade her whole attitude changed and she said they couldn't see me. I said I would pay out of pocket and she still gave me a hard time about making an appointment.

On my first call when I was told they excepted medicade I told the lady I had found Dr. Monroe's office though my insurance companies website. Dr. Monroe has been an area neighbor dentist for over 30 years and I'm shocked I was treated the way I was. Everyone has seen Dr. Monroe around here since they were small children who are now mid 30's. Shame on this office for telling me wrong then denying my insurance and an appointment, shame on them for saying my medical papers we not returned, shame on them for falling into a corporate role and not caring for those who may have to use Medicade Insurance and shame on you for treating me less of a human because of it, shame on you for being rude to me.

I'm going to make sure Dr. Monroe and the other dentist here know what the people in his office did to me. You are listed as a dental office and dentist that excepts Medicade. Why if you don't except it? Public praise maybe. . .
