The one star reviews are the truth about this fraud. Malik will claim she is having fitted $1500 porcelain crowns and pontics, subjecting you to excessive bleeding. Her crowns and pontics, she switches out with cheap material, that fall off and just flat out break within 2 weeks. You spend more time with numerous replacements, with money gauging corner cutting shoddy work.

The one star reviews is the truth on what awaits you with this duplicitous wasteful fraud. The rest are lies.

Not sure why my previous review is missing from this page, but I had a horrible experience at the office. Upon my first visit. I walked into a room where a small order dog came in and went to the bathroom. Dentist entered, and was in sandals (feet exposed.

) well, I don’t mind a laid-back atmosphere of the seemed a little awkward an inappropriate. The exam was fine stuff was nice but then I was presented with a ridiculously expensive treatment plan. Even though there were more pressing issues, the dentist pushed to fill two pinhole cavities, and one tooth that I had no issues with. It’s been six months since that treatment and fillings are still sensitive.

When I called back to continue the prioritize treatment, I was told she was not performing those procedures ?!?!?? so basically, I got the DRILL FILL AND BILL TREATMENT. I wasted my annual x-rays and check up with her which I know I have to go pay for at a different dentist to complete the procedures that should have been prioritized.

UPDATE: I am amending my original review now that some time has passed for a few reasons, 1. ) follow-up appointment experience 2. ) negative healing and 3. ) money grab 1. ) I went in for a routine checkup in February and was told to set up a follow up appointment because I needed some fillings. I thought that was weird because I wasn’t shown any specific problem areas or anything after the cleaning. I came back to get the filling and as the tech is prepping me she mentions that they will fill the 3 on my right side this time and I’ll need a second appointment for the the on the left. I’m SHOCKED at this point because I maintained regular appointment with my former dentist and they’d never mentioned me needing to get 6 fillings. I had just been to them for my cleaning and checkup the year prior and they let me know they had a two spots they wanted to keep an eye on but that was it. I ask to speak to the dentist because I’m aghast that 6 fillings have sprung up in a year especially since I haven’t had need for one since like elementary school.

She then tells me I don’t have to get them all because some of them look like they might become an issue down the line but are actually fine so if I didn’t want them I didn’t have to get them. I get only the right side done because she says that those are what were most concerning. It felt as if she was trying to just heap all this work on me to wring out my insurance. 2. ) It’s been 3 months now since I got the fillings and my gum is still sore where one tooth was filled (the one she had to numb again during the process because I shrieked because I could feel it and was in great pain) and I can still hardly eat on that side. 3. ) it felt like I was being hit up for money and not actually have my patient needs addressed. She tried to do thousands of dollars of dental work that I didn’t need and (unfortunately) hocks these $800 night guards that I unfortunately fell for. I know this because my husband went to her a week or so after for an annual cleaning and check up and they tried to get him to get one as well. Basically it felt like, you’re getting told you need a night guard if you go.

They tried to sell him one as well but he declined. He was also told he needed close to $2000 in work but has since gone to another dentist for a second opinion and they did not make those recommendations. Yea, the office is centrally located, clean and quick, but now I’m wondering if I was filtered through so quickly because they don’t have any repeat patients clogging up the pipeline. I certainly won’t go back. - The below was posted day of first visit - My appointment was one of the most efficient healthcare visits I’ve ever had. I was seen on-time and the check-in was all completely ahead of my visit. I found the business on Zocdoc and was able to complete my checkin there ahead of going in. My cleaning was quick and easy, the assessment with the doctor was smooth and each subsequent step in-office was quick and easy but also informative. Beautiful office, nice staff very clean and quiet office in a convenient location in center city.

TL DR: Trust the 1 star reviews. It would be best to assume the 5 star reviews are paid for due to the $10 incentive. I was lied to and billed despite being told my insurance would cover my cleaning. They give a $10 Starbucks gift card in exchange for a 5 star review. The Starbucks is located right next to the clinic, making this the most egregious form of paying for reviews I have seen from a medical facility. Check ZocDoc reviews as well for more proof. While we are on the topic of ZocDoc, I highly recommend avoiding scheduling an appointment through ZocDoc if you still want to visit this clinic after reading this review. If you want to cancel the appointment, they will bill you $150. I wanted to cancel after reading the reviews but couldn't due to the cost. The clinic is tucked in a corner of the building. There are paper signs that do a poor job of directing you since they only appear right next to the door. When I arrived, I was greeted by a Shih Tzu. This dog roams around the clinic at their leisure. The dog can go anywhere in the clinic including around the dentist equipment. I was not made aware of this beforehand.

The dog growled at me when I arrived. How welcoming! I asked multiple times if my insurance would cover cleaning, to which the girl at the front desk said yes. The staff who did my cleaning and X-rays were very kind, informative and transparent. Afterwards, I met with Dr. Malik. Dr. Malik was very cold and rude to me. Dr. Malik said she saw a cavity but refused to show me on the X-rays. She then claimed that wisdom teeth needed to be removed and Invisalign was needed. She gave no proof but aggressively pushed for these treatments. After I declined she coldly departed. (After getting a second opinion from another dentist, none of these treatments were necessary) She went right to her next patient who was in the dental chair next to mine. The person who came in was complaining about their fillings "not sitting right" and Dr. Malik suggested that he was not taking care of them.

On the way out I asked again whether there were any charges and I was told there were none. Months later I received a notice from my healthcare provider saying that Dr. Malik billed me $5,000 for the cleaning. I was told the opposite while I was in the clinic. My insurance covered some of this cost but I was stuck paying the remaining balance. The experience was horrible. I would give negative stars if I could. Maybe I should have just paid the $150 dollar cancellation fee. I am stuck paying more. If you value your time and money, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The only saving grace was the staff who did my cleaning. There are plenty of great dental clinics willing to give you the treatment you deserve. This clinic is not one of them.
