I really wanted to love this place. Everyone seemed so kind and welcoming. But I almost got a completely unnecessary root canal because of this place. I came in originally having an issue with a certain tooth and a previous filling from another dentist. Dr. Taylor never thought to try and replace the old filling. . he just told me I might need a root canal at some point. I said okay and I continued on with my appointment.

He found three other teeth that needed fillings. I came back, received those fillings and it seemed to go good. Immediately after having those fillings, (one was next to the previous filling/tooth that had bothered me) I was having horrible pain there. Sensitivity and could not chew on that side. I called and went back a few weeks later when it continued to not subside. He looked at my teeth and told me his fillings looked fine, did some percussion test on my teeth and told me it was the tooth I had the previous issue with and referred me out to get a root canal and to come back for a crown. I went to my husbands dentist for a second opinion. . he thought it was too coincidental to be experiencing all this pain right after the fillings for it to be that other tooth.

He didn’t want to give me a root canal if I didn’t need it. He seriously seemed to care. . so he replaced the filling Dr. Taylor did and replaced the old filling on the tooth that had originally also bothered me. What do you know, the pain is gone! I will not be coming back here.

Dr Taylor is very patient and explains every thing in detail. He also exhausts all possible non-invasive treatments before recommending a more invasive procedure. Staff is very helpful and wait room time is minimal. I highly recommend North Royalton Family Dental.
