I was referred to this office to get my children’s wisdom teeth removed. The entire process from the consultation up to actually setting the appointment was very unprofessional. They asked me to reach out to the referring office to get information in which I believe they should’ve gotten at the time of the referral. It would be things such as imaging and insurance information that they continuously asked me about as opposed to communicating with the referring doctor’s office. Every time I called the referring office they would be confused because they had already sent that information over so I was asking for the same info already shared multiple times. Almost seemed like they kept misplacing it.

Prior to the surgery they let me know that I would have to pay $100 co-pay-OK cool. On the day of the surgery. I sent both my sons there which they are young adults but still under my insurance. They tried to get them to pay for the entire amount of the Wisdom Teeth Removal of $3500. When my son called me, the reason that was given to me by the billing manager is because they don’t know exactly how much insurance would pay so I would have to pay everything upfront and wait on reimbursement from the insurance company. I thought that sounded very strange as I have never been paid from the insurance company as a reimbursement for such things when they could simply bill my insurance- then he goes to say that it’s because all patients don’t come back and pay the bill.

Totally unprofessional and almost felt like a scam or even racially profiled. Either way I instructed my son to leave and I found him another Oral Surgeon. When I asked my son to get a records release, they told him that he would need to pay a cancellation fee, as if they did not tell me about all of these fees (even though I have both medical and dental insurance) the day of the surgery-totally unprofessional office.

The doctors and staff provide excellent quality care. Everything is double checked with the team and verified with the customer for accuracy. This is my 2nd procedure without any discomfort. The personal call from the doctor the next day adds an additional level of care. I highly recommend NE Oral Surgery & Implant Center.
