Mobile and School-Based Health: NCHC extends its reach into the community with a Medical Mobile Unit and school-based health and wellness centers, like the one at Brien McMahon High School, ensuring access to care for students and others who may have difficulty reaching the main clinic. NCHC's commitment to the community is evident in its policy of not turning anyone away due to their inability to pay, accepting various insurance plans including Medicaid/Husky Health, and its staff's fluency in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Creole. The center has been recognized for its high standards, including being a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the highest level a healthcare practice can earn.

I was referred to this health center following an amputation. After my first visit I learned that they failed to have some of the medications authorized by my insurance. They also ordered a medical device which after a month I found it was never sent because they didn't submit something to the company. The company stated they tried to reach the doctor several times to no avail. Two days ago I received a link on my phone that said "use this link to check in before your appointment. " I arrived at 3:13 for a 3:45 appointment, checked in as instructed and got the verification text shortly after.

I sat for 45 minutes after the time my appointment was suppose to happen, went to the desk and asked why I have not been seen yet. I was told that I needed to check in at the desk. . . The woman behind the desk was able to see that the check in verification was sent to me. She called back to the doctors and they refused to see me because I was "late" to the appointment.

. . These people are inconsiderate, clueless on how to fill out simple paperwork, and not at all eager to meet their patients needs. If this was the standard for health care across the country I would truly pray that my next amputation is from the neck up.

This establishment is by far the best! My son and I come here regularly. The staff is so kind, informative and helpful. The pediatrics department is wonderful. I worry about everything when it comes to my sons health, and I always leave Relieved and confident . I could name everyone in that department! I just want to say thank you! Adult medicine is fantastic.

Dr. Dolivera is my Dr. And she is fantastic. No one is ever impatient or unkind. Thank you everyone

I’m an expecting mother. I walked in on Saturday because I woke up feeling very sick. The lady at the front desk was not helpful at all. She had a terrible attitude, did not put me in contact with any doctor, gave me no helpful information, was not even capable of ask a doctor or a nurse if I needed urgent care.

She advised me to do whatever I thought was more convenient or wait until my next appointment. I don’t understand how these kinds o people work for healthcare. I’ve been a scheduling coordinator before and I always went above and beyond for my patients but I guess not everybody care for other people, in that case they should try to find another field.

Do not go here. They brushed me off after I waited weeks for this appointment. They had no solution for a serious health problem I have been in and out of the ER for except to schedule an annual physical. No help at all.
