This includes procedures like bone grafting to ensure adequate bone structure for implant placement. wisdom teeth removal: A common procedure, they expertly handle the extraction of wisdom teeth, including impacted ones, to prevent complications such as overcrowding, pain, and infection. Tooth Extractions: Beyond wisdom teeth, they perform general tooth extractions when a tooth is severely damaged or cannot be restored. Bone Grafting: This procedure is offered to restore jawbone density and structure, often necessary before dental implant placement or to address bone loss due to extractions, gum disease, or injuries. IV sedation/Anesthesia: Understanding patient anxiety, Oral Surgery Consultants of Pennsylvania offers various sedation options, including intravenous (IV) sedation (often referred to as "twilight sedation"), local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide, to ensure a comfortable and pain-free experience. For more complex procedures or patients with specific medical conditions, hospital-based general anesthesia can also be arranged. Oral Pathology: They diagnose and treat various conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and teeth, including oral cysts, tumors, and diseases. Facial Injuries and Trauma: Their surgeons are equipped to address maxillofacial injuries and facial trauma, working to restore both function and aesthetics. The practice is committed to providing a safe and effective treatment environment, utilizing advanced techniques and technology. I had a great experience from consultation to actual surgery. I had a broken tooth on the bottom back and a wisdom tooth at the top on the same side. I am extremely wary of dentists due to bad experiences when I was a teenager but I was really put at ease, it was quick getting me back and I conked out pretty quickly with the IV sedation.

Came to laughing in the waiting room and had no pain for a long time after the procedure which was helpful. The day after I have some swelling but pain isn’t as bad as expected. Thank you so much I know I need another teeth pulled in the future and I will be back!

had to get two teeth extracted, was put under anesthesia and my dr was Dr. Hoang. super nice and easygoing, made sure i was comfortable before i was knocked out, and the assistants were super sweet (and one even complimented my hair). procedure took 30 minutes (maybe, i was half awake when i woke up) and i have had no major soreness or issues post-op!!! thank you :)

The dental office facility and equipment is somewhat outdated. Instead of having a sink near the chair to spit in, you are given a pan to hold and to spit in. Typically, the dental assistant would take the oral anesthetic gel and rub it where the dentist will insert the needle for the novacaine, in my case he put some anesthetic on a stick and told me to put in my mouth. After the tooth extraction, apparently I was supposed to be given a syringe to help keep the extraction site clean. I didn't find out about the syringe until two weeks later when I came back due to pain at the extraction site which could have been avoided if I had been given the syringe the first time.

Despite these less than pleasant experiences overall I had a good experience. The dentist and administrative staff was professional, knowledgeable, and will have you in and out. The dental assistant though nice, seemed to be inexperienced.

This office EXCEEDED my expectations! I had to switch my appointment multiple times because I had new insurance, needed help with authorizations, and I had to coordinate with a family member's work schedule to bring me to my appointment for surgery. Their staff member Maddy went above and beyond to help with getting the authorization paperwork sorted out correctly and scheduling me at a time that worked well for my ride. The day of my surgery, Nurse Rosa supported me through deciding whether I wanted local anesthesia, sedation, gas, etc, because I was undecided and kept changing which method I wanted out of nerves. Nurse Rosa also supported me through some feelings of anxiety I experienced.

She held my hand when my procedure started and then verbally supported me until it was done, reminding me to breathe and assuring me I was doing great. I'm grateful for her kindness. Dr. Richman was AWESOME! He was very kind and verbally supportive as well.

I researched him ahead of time, and he surpassed his reputation! He was literally a dental magician. My surgery was extremely fast, gentle, and easy. I hope I don't need surgery again for decades to come lol but if it should become necessary, I will only want to return here with Rosa and Dr. Richman!
