Dr. Gilman Peterson III, DMD, MD, is a highly qualified and experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky in 1999, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2003 and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the UK College of Medicine in 2007. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kentucky in 2009. Dr. Peterson is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of prestigious professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Bluegrass Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Lexington Medical Society. He has also served on the Board of the Kentucky Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He practices at Oral Surgery & Implant Associates, with offices in Winchester and Mt. Sterling, KY, and is also associated with Erena & Peterson, PLLC in Lexington, KY. His clinical interests are extensive and include wisdom teeth removal, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, oral pathology, and pre-prosthetic procedures. The practice offers intravenous sedation in-office for patient comfort.
