I hesitated to leave a negative review, but I feel it's necessary to share my experience. While I like Dr. Mitra and find her kind and polite, my overall experience has been disappointing. I began "Invisalign" treatment in October 2023, expecting my retainers in 2-3 weeks, but they arrived over a month later without any communication. When they did arrive, I discovered they were an off-brand called ClearCorrect, not Invisalign as stated in my agreement. Dr. Mitra assured me they were the same, but they clearly lacked the features and benefits of Invisalign. Since I had already paid and waited so long, I felt pressured to move forward. From the start, there were issues with the engagers on my teeth breaking or falling off. Dr. Mitra said they weren’t necessary, so I trusted her judgment and continued with missing engagers. My initial treatment of 10 trays went relatively smoothly until the 5-6 month mark. My bottom teeth aligned except for one, but my top teeth were far from straight.

Dr. Mitra eventually ordered refinement trays, but they didn’t improve my top teeth. She ordered more "refinement" trays, but it turned out she simply reordered the last two trays from my initial set, which hadn’t worked the first time. Frustrated, I called the office and questioned Dr. Mitra about the trays. She insisted they were refinements with minor adjustments. Despite my doubts, I wore them as instructed. When my teeth still weren’t straight, she suggested a Hawley retainer. I agreed, hoping it would work. After 10 days, I received the Hawley retainer and was told to wear it consistently. I also asked about my bottom retainer, which I had never received, and Dr. Mitra ordered one from ClearCorrect along with a top one, confusing me about whether my treatment was over. She reassured me it wasn’t, and I followed her instructions.

Weeks later, I returned to get both retainers. The bottom one fit perfectly, but the top one had a gap where my right lateral incisor should be. Dr. Mitra said it would shift into place if worn consistently, but I felt dismissed. I asked about follow-up, and she suggested coming back in 6 months or a year unless I wanted new completion pictures in a few weeks. I’ve spent $4,000 and 15 years waiting, but my teeth are still not straight, and I’m left with an ill-fitting retainer. Now, I have to start over with another orthodontist. It’s not just about the money; it’s the disappointment of being misled and not receiving the care I expected.
