Halfway through having my crown put on and have had no problems they worked with me greatly

Very great pediatrics. Dr. Jones is amazing! Very thorough and answers all my questions!

Atrocious. Gave me a difficult time trying to get my records transferred. I felt disrespected and condescended to. Unnecessary tests were given to me without my knowledge. As usual these days, health providers can do whatever they want as no wrongdoing was and is never found. I will not return to a facility that violates my trust.

The idea of subsidized sliding fee scale is the ideal. The execution of accessible healthcare at PATHS: long waits, multiple calls and emails, for diagnostics, for exam results, for controlled substance screening and prescriptions. My first 3 visits were with Mental Health and Medical Health. The onboarding with new patient info was disorganized, but I sorted it after 2 in person visits, as their online support was nil, barely utilized their patient portal app, healow. Then, the communication was a mite better via phone/email to get many Rx's sorted, ordered, and medical team's coordination and collaboration with Medassist. If you aren't advocating for yourself, and staying abreast of your chronic conditions, as well as new symptoms, PATHS is not going to catch it for you; you will just fall through the cracks. I defined my symptom and treatment history methodically and concisely as they did not have records from my previous PCP despite giving multiple staff the info and completing it on the new patient form. I reviewed the rare diagnoses and the ongoing symptoms, which Dr. Turner efficiently selected diagnostics to rule out flare up vs new disease process. He set up a referral quickly to specialists after results indicated acute and new diseases, emphasizing critical consult and follow up, so I was seen at Carilion within a week. Never have I seen a specialist so quickly, as PCPs have settled for 3-4 month delays in the face of acute symptomology poorly managed at emergent facilities.
The final visit was a very poor experience. I waited a long time in the lobby full of patients during flu season, with asthma. No masks were offered. I waited 30 min to give them a urine sample for controlled substance monitoring and prescription authorization. I never got the Rx authorization, and experienced high pain, with windup, and insomnia, due to pain. The support staff were very confused about my dose and frequency despite previous prescription and long history of same effective dosing. They ignorantly or knowingly claimed they had to prescribe a different concentration, so the dose had to adapt to the high concentration, larger cap/tab. Controlled does not mean single dose restriction. A single script with no refills, sure. Limited volume, depends on Class of controlled substance. The only factor to limit dose would be restricted manufacturing due to production delay or halt.
Two nurses or assistants both were trained to dictate such false, misleading, confusing orders. I did not get my prescription while I was in town the next 48 hours during the business week, open for patients. Medassist couldn't help with the pain management treatment, GI treatment, but accessed respiratory treatments for me that were previously cost-prohibitive. At least I breath better, but my pain is not controlled, thanks to PATHS. I collected resources elsewhere to fill my GI treatments. Using PATHS, I accessed specialty referral and breathing therapy; I did not access pain or GI meds or management. Orthopedic and neuropathic changes and degradation went unnoted and untreated. My family tried them, and at the second visit, my senior mother left after an hour wait for her routine appointment. She called her previous PCP and gyno, and transferred back to them. Accessible? Not if you never see a provider, only sit in a lobby full of respiratory symptomatic individuals, that hopefully were treated effectively, eventually.
