The staff was great and on time, as I was the first appointment. I loved that they worked with me (billing) as I needed to get a lot of work done. The doctors are very nice (they have soft hands that you could barely feel). If you need any work done in your mouth do not hesitate to visit them!

My time at Pegasus was wasted. I initially contacted them in order to get a regular cleaning that one usually gets twice a year. I sent them my insurance card through text message, which I found a little odd, but OK. Fast forward to the day of the appointment…I spent about an hour and half at the office for what I thought would just be a routine cleaning that I’ve gotten at other offices but with a different insurance. First they did the panoramic X-Ray, then the bitewings. Then I received the periodontal evaluation and was told I have tartar and bleeding gums and I would need a deep cleaning. OK, I understand. Next I was told to take another panoramic X-Ray because the first batch didn’t go through/wasn’t good enough. More waiting. Next I was told to keep waiting while they were working with my insurance.

I didn’t ask to clarify because I was getting a bit annoyed having already waited for so long. Next a woman approached me regarding a copayment for a deep cleaning that would cost approximately 300 dollars. Wait, what? I thought I was here for a regular cleaning that I understood my insurance would fully cover. Finally, the doctor who did the initial eval said she recommends that I do the deep cleaning (in my case, a procedure that would require anesthesia according to her), but didn’t recommend a regular cleaning because “it’s like brushing your teeth at home. ” So then “What’s the point of regular cleanings?” I ask. “That’s for patients that don’t have tartar or bleeding gums. ” Oh, really? Hm. Seems like I’m being forced to do a deep cleaning that I never planned for. While I was open to the deep cleaning at a later point, I still wanted to do the regular cleaning, however she was very adamant about pushing for a deep cleaning. I told her I would be finding a new dentist office because I’ve never had an experience at the dentists where I couldn’t receive a regular cleaning, which is what I stated both over the phone and on paper that I was there for.

I DIDN’T KNOW SOMEONE’S TEETH NEEDED TO ALREADY BE CLEAN TO GET A REGULAR CLEANING. I called my insurance company to make sure that they would be billing me properly, specifically for only ONE panoramic X-Ray instead of two. I was also asked by my insurance rep if this office provided a waiver to allow me the option to deny a service they seemed to deem absolutely necessary, and of course they didn’t. That being said, anyone who thinks this office is great is in for a rude awakening. Seems like I was just a new patient they could take advantage of. But that’s beside the point. I’ll be on the lookout for the bill. I’ll never be back to this office ever again. I gave the benefit of the doubt based on previous Google reviews, DESPITE horror stories from people that I know. I empathize with any one else who had a less then stellar time here!
