Thank God for Dr. Marable and his staff!! I had the worst experience with a well-known dental office 3 days ago. I left that other office with more pain than when I arrived, and no antibiotic or pain medication. I hadn't really slept much, and I woke up Saturday and did a Google search for a dentist open on Saturday. The office told me to come on in because they had a cancelation. Nothing but patience from the front desk to the doctor. I know I have high anxiety due to bad experiences, but Dr. Marable was patient with me and discussed all my options. He helped alleviate most of my pain and gave me a prescription for my infection and pain. Today I woke up feeling pretty good after a long night waiting for the antibiotic and pain medication to kick in. Thank you QG Dental!!! I'll be back soon.
. . Update-5/21/2025- Today's appointment was horrible. As I said before I have high anxiety when it comes to the dentist and I really try to control this. The staff were still very nice. My appointment was at 9 am and I left the office a little after 1:30 pm for a root canal. My pain wasn't in my tooth, but painful due to holding my mouth open for so long and hyperextending my head to keep bringing my chin up. 3 hours was a long time to sit in that chair trying to keep my mouth open. Asking me if I'm okay when I can't respond is wild. Every few minutes saying "Don't bite down, don't close your mouth, loosen your mouth and lips, breathe through your nose, turn your head left and right, pull your chin up, don't bite down on the mouth piece, don't push your tongue , push your tongue to the left (I don't have control of my tongue due to anxiety). .
I definitely had jaw fatigue. . No empathy what so ever. I felt like a child even though I'm in my 60's. All I could do is let the tears fall. Wow! I really wish I could find a dentist here in Georgia that understands anxiety, and not verbally punish me. This was mentally exhausting. I have only had a few dentist that understood dental anxiety, but I had to move from Las Vegas back to Georgia.
