Its clear they do not care about patients (aka customers). I asked staff several times to ask Dr. Boylan call me, no call. I wrote on my bill I sent back with check "I will not be back"; no response. This is just beyond words. I was having a crown worked on, and the number of other employee's stopping by to ask questions was unbelievable; where's this, where's that, one asked the assistant about a credit card charge she made and what it was for! Seriously!!!! All distracting to someone working in my mouth.

This place even seemed to have messed my wife's root canal, and she was in pain, and was told to go elsewhere to find out what the problem was! I went for cleaning, first appt. of the day, and after siting there 20 minutes, getting into the chair that had mechanical problems, was move to another. Then she was upset i guess because I could not open my mouth wide enough; well, it was wide enough the previous day for crown procedure! Then she grilled on my medications; I was just upset my now. I felt she was stalling and did not want to do the work. I could not think clearly by this point, plus, medications have nothing to do with a cleaning to begin with, there were very behind schedule, I just got up and left since NOTHING had started yet, and it was 40 minutes past my appt. time.

I should have been done by now. They lost 2 customers due to no response. Guess they don't care about improving customer experience and patient safety.

I have been a patient of Dr. Boylan's for six years even though I only saw him a few times during that span. Last month I had a tooth extracted and it was the worst experience since I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was in the Navy, it was awful!! At the end of the butchery on my mouth I asked for pain medicine to be sent to my pharmacy which had never been a problem before. I waited 20 min to make sure the pharmacy had received it, but they never did. I went back into the dental office to ask the receptionist about it and they proceeded to treat me like a 2nd class citizen acting as though I should not be asking them why the pain meds were not called into my pharmacy. I asked to speak to someone senior to them and they acted offended. I was in pain with a mouth full of gauze and they acted like I was bothering them.

The dentist came back out and told me they were ensuring it was called in and then I left. I called Dr. Boylan to explain how poorly I had been treated, but he never called me back. I had an appointment to see him the following week and when I talked to him about what happened, he said he was told the receptionist felt threatened by me because I raised my voice to them. I never raised my voice and had a mouth full of gauze so yelling was not possible. He then said that maybe they perceived it as me yelling because I was a muscular man and that can be threatening. That really translates to be being an angry black muscular man and since I was so muscular they felt threatened which really feels like racial profiling to me.

I had an appointment to clean my teeth weeks later and when I arrived I was told I could not have my cleaning because Dr. Boylan wasn't there and he has to be there when I have an appointment and that someone should have texted me and told me which they had not. Now if that isn't profiling I don't know what is. If you are a person of color I would be very careful coming to this practice because you could be treated in a slave like manner.
