I just want to start off by saying that I have extreme anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I’ve had terrible experiences and debilitating pain with previous dentists. This afternoon I was getting my crowns replaced and I stressed myself out so badly that I was having a panic attack when I sat in the chair this afternoon. Dr. Shah made me feel so comfortable.

She changed the subject and talked to me about her recent trip to India and it really helped me calm down. She showed me photos and everything!! Before she started the procedure she explained everything to me in great detail. She explained the procedure every step of the way while she was doing it. She really took her time making sure I was 100% comfortable through the whole process. If I needed to stop she stopped, if I felt pain she gave me more novocain.

She explained the difference between pain, pressure, and discomfort and made the whole experience completely pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Shah, she really makes you feel seen, heard and truly does care for every patient that walks through her doors.

I thought this was a good place but they charge you even when you have insurance. I had a root canal and still have pain in my tooth paid over $400 for a cap and now have to get it pulled anyway. Had another tooth just filling but they said they had to cap it as well another over $400 expense. My granddaughter had a filling done 3 times cause it kept falling out. Never going back.

Dr. Chen is phenomenal! She is the most caring dentist I have ever been to and the only dentist I would trust to work on my teeth. She recently acquired the practice and I couldn’t be happier that she is my dentist.

I had a very good experience at Bethpage Smiles. The staff was friendly and professional, and the dentist took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable and well cared for. One area for improvement could be the scheduling or waiting time — appointments sometimes take a bit longer than expected. I’d happily recommend this clinic and look forward to future visits.
