Dr. James McMenamin is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a long and distinguished career spanning over 35 years. His professional journey began in New Jersey, where he was born and raised. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed his residency training in Oral and maxillofacial surgery at Jersey City Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chief of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of the program at the same medical center, a testament to his expertise and leadership in the field. For over three decades, Dr. McMenamin ran his own successful practice in Warren, NJ. In 2022, his practice was acquired by Riverside Oral Surgery, a prominent, surgeon-owned and operated oral and maxillofacial surgery group with multiple locations across New Jersey. Dr. McMenamin is now part of the "Emeritus Group" at Riverside Oral Surgery, continuing to provide exceptional care to the Warren community. I am editing this review because of a recent phone call I made. As a returning patient, I expected better service (even if my records are no longer available) after spending thousands on my wisdom teeth removal. The front desk person wasn't able to answer a couple of basic questions in regards to sedation/pain killing medication. I was considering having a tooth pulled here but now will look elsewhere. Had all four of my wisdom teeth removed back in 2010. I was so thankful to be completely knocked out for the surgery. The only pain I experienced was after the novocain wore off.

I was screaming, but Dr. M got on the phone right away and told me to take another pain killer. I was fine after that, aside from looking like a chipmunk for two weeks lol. No infection and my mouth healed perfectly. Thanks Dr. M!

I felt very comfortable from the start. All went well and I'm feeling better every day. He also gave me a call in the evening to see how I was feeling and to call if I had issues. I would certainly recommend him .

I have a long history with Dr, McMenamin, He removed my wisdom teeth back in 1986 and has since taken care of all three of my son's wisdom teeth. Most recently I needed 3 extractions and he is still amazing. A truly caring doctor
