WORST DENTIST EVER! My daughter is 4 years old and since she was 2 we have been attending this dentist. In July (2022) at the appointment, Mr. Collins said she had a MINIMAL cavity, that I should not worry because brushing his teeth well would remove it, out of ignorance and believing him I stayed calm. In January (2023) he said that everything was fine, the cavity STILL THERE and still small, if it grows at the next appointment they will have to treat it. 2 appointments, more than 6 months apart and they did absolutely NOTHING to treat the cavity, they did not perform x-rays, NOTHING. 3 weeks ago (July 2023) the doctor told me that the cavity is bigger and through the x-rays there’s more smaller ones. Something that surprised me because if he had done that from the BEGINNING none of that would be happening. He said that he had to treat her and put crowns on, which can be done in 4-5 sessions at the office or 1 day of surgery at the hospital where they will put her to sleep for 4 hours.
Concerned but at the same time ignorant, I begin to ask questions to find out the risks and what is best for my daughter. The doctor says that in the hospital it is better because it is faster and that they would call me in the next few weeks to give me a date for the surgery. I agreed but was not convinced and decided to call a friend who is a dentist (graduated with honors) and practices professionally in another country. The first thing she told me was "why he didn’t treat the cavity from the beginning? If it was very small it should’ve been quickly" then she told me that children should not sleep for these procedures and that it is best to do it by sessions, also she told me that if the cavities has not touched the nerve of the tooth and there is no pain, a crown should not be necessary; She recommended to seek another opinion and, in that case, to continue with the doctor, to choose to do the treatment in sessions. On Friday of last week, they called me from the office to give me a date for the surgery, I told the receptionist that I need to ask the dentist other questions before approving, she told me that they would call me again. Today they called me (August 8 2023) to give me the date and I told her that I want to treat her in sessions, the lady begins to respond in a defiant way, telling me that in sessions it is more difficult and that if my daughter does not allow herself to be treated, "you will see" (My daughter behaves great at the dentist, she has never cried and does not even move), she continued to persuade me to choose surgery and I say no, that I am not I'm going to sleep my daughter for 4 hours. She told me "okay let me schedule your appointment but give me a second to ask the doctor if he approves your decision". HA excuse me? Here the only one who must approve and decide how my daughter is treated is ME.
Dr. Collins takes the call and the first thing he told me was to find another doctor in an aggressive and defiant tone, he denied me the option of doing the treatment in sessions (when they had already told me that I can decide how to do it and the receptionist was going to schedule the date of the first appointment). He called me irresponsible and said my daughter's cavities were my fault, when I have taken my daughter regularly to all her appointments and this man always said that everything was PERFECT, and from one month to the next big cavities appeared and even crowns have to be placed (My daughter doesn’t have pain, bad breath or something similar) Worst of all, he got upset because I didn't agree to bring my daughter to the hospital. The receptionist said that they didn’t treated the cavity at the beginning because my daughter was too young and she would cry, oh but it’s better to put her to sleep 4 hours, right? This man, instead of doing his job, what he does is ignore cavities (which must be treated from small so they don't grow) and lets them grow to the point of having to do a major surgery or treatment because of his NEGLIGENCE and so he can charge more. Money, that's all they care about.

Dr Rob is amazing. My daughter refused to allow a cavity to be filled but he was so patient with her. He walked with her every step of the way and helped her overcome her fears. He was the first dentist who actually took the time and helped our family. We look forward to his care for many years to come!

Dr Rob is a godsend. My 6 year old daughter has clinically diagnosed anxiety that can be quite severe. She previously had to be placed under general anesthesia and intubated in the hospital setting to have 4 crowns placed. When she needed a tooth pulled that abscessed after trauma, our gen dmd recommended finding someone nitrous-capable because her anxiety and breakdowns prevented even the simplest routine care. We heard of Dr Rob via word of mouth and I made the appointment. He was amazing. This man just knows how to talk to children, the type with a natural talent.
Within three seconds of walking into the room he established a report with my child and she trusted him… I mean from tears to smiles within moments. I was so relieved. I’m pretty sure he would have been successful even without the nitrous. In any which case, she left so happy. When she required yet another appointment to replace one of the crowns previously placed under GA, she walked right into his office with no hesitation. It was, again, a wonderfully positive experience for her. His office is the only healthcare setting she doesn’t get nervous in.
He’s also fairly easy to get an appointment with. Typically they’d schedule me pretty far out and I would ask to call if there were any sooner availability. To my shock, this office actually does call when there’s cancellations! Both times, I received a call back and was seen within the week. So don’t be deterred if you get scheduled out. Just make the appointment and wait for the call.

Dr. Robert Collin’s is an amazing dentist. He was very professional, patient with my son, as well as being supportive and encouraging. My son just had Oral Surgery and he was very attentive, took care and pride within his work.
He also had a very positive attitude throughout the entire procedure. Along with his very helpful dental assistant who was very supportive and kind the whole session. I will be returning.
