Dr. Shen is the best. He makes sure you get your teeth cleaned like your dad would. He is a very nice person and an awesome dentist. Makes the whole process painless.

He has been my dentist for more than 5 years. I am not a fan of the whole cleaning tour teeth but Dr. Shen makes it less scary 🤣🤣🤣. I definitely recommend his clinic, his staff and of course him for your next painless cleaning session 👍.

Shen is very supportive and always available when we need his help. The staff in the clinic are always friendly and very professional. Dr. Shen is our go-to person whenever there is dental issue and our kids' favorite doctor. We highly recommend Shen Dental care to everyone!

My family have been using Shen Dental Care for the past 7 years. Michael has a wonderful staff. They do a great job of working with us and our schedules. The office is very clean and organized. There are no long wait times in office and they do a wonderful job of staying on top of, and taking care of our dental needs.

I write this review with a very heavy heart. I was a patient of Dr. Michael Shen for 20 years. We go back to when he had an office in Highland Park, and his wife was his receptionist. She was always wonderful. I want to make this quick. I wanted my first review of Michael to be positive, but that is not the case. On February 17th, 2024, I went in for my crown, for which I had paid $1664. 10 a month in advance. The care that I received was, until then, very special, and although we had our ups and downs over the years, Michael was the only dentist that I trusted to care for my dental needs. As I was about to leave, I had a question concerning my bite alignment and felt I was not getting a full answer. Michael stated that my "jaw was slightly different on one side.

" I know this is a common physical occurrence in all of our bodies. People are not cast out of molds, so we are different all over our bodies. At no time did Michael Shen ever measure my jaw, so there is no way for him to know these measurements. But that is irrelevant. Then, out of NOWHERE, Michael stated: "There is a study that says people with symmetrical faces are considered the most attractive" to paraphrase his words. His comment surprised me, and I told him flatly: "That is just an opinion and nothing more. " He repeated himself again twice! He was trying to justify his words. I thought, "Why is he being so rude and insensitive?" He did nothing to answer my questions about my concerns, and as I sat in the chair, I told him how disgusted and angry I was with his comments. He had nothing to say. I had made it clear that his comment had NOTHING to do with the situation of his dental work in my mouth and was simply inexcusable. This was very inappropriate and unprofessional and completely violated how dentists should treat their patients. He had made this personal and ugly when he attacked my appearance.

There was no reason for his despicable behavior. I left the office with my friend, who witnessed this entire event. I decided that I was no longer a patient of Michael Shen at that time. This was a very cruel act on his part and completely insensitive. Whether he was intentionally trying to hurt my feelings or was just completely and emotionally detached from reality, I cannot say. My appearance is as important to me as it is to all of us. We want to look our best and feel good about ourselves. No one should be told such a vile and terrible comment about some specious study that has no place in modern dentistry. Unfortunately, I give Dr. Michael Shen a ZERO star review and would not recommend his services. Apparently this business attempts to have any truthful reviews removed that are negative, and that is wrong!
