I needed emergency dental care, my wisdom teeth had cavities, and prior to my scheduled removal with my main dentist, they began to hurt terribly. I called SmileCity Dental at 6 AM and left a message explaining my situation, they called me back 10 minutes after they opened and were able to get me an appointment the very next day (they would have been able to do same-day but there was a snowstorm). I was referred to them by another emergency dental clinic that didn't take Ontario Works, thankfully SmileCity did. The girls at the front desk were really nice and worked fast to get my information into their system. Juliet, the dental assistant was really carring amd empathetic, she worked quickly as she saw I was in pain and didn't want to drag out any of the pre-procedure steps, including the ancient Egyptian style anesthesia where she smacked me upside the head with a shovel (this didn't actually happen, but when i joked about putting it in my review she laughed :) )Dr.

Nalluri also worked quickly and efficiently so as not to prolong the painful parts of the procedure. I've had a tooth pulled once before and it hurt, but this time the actual tooth extractions were mostly painless. They didn't rush just to get me out of there quickly, they worked efficiently and effectively to prevent prolonged pain. When it came to hearing me out about any past dental experiences and my medical history, they actively listened and made sure to accommodate me. Dr.

Nalluri was reasonable and fair when it came to prescribing adequate pain relief medication, and provided a referral to a specialized dentist to deal with my wisdom teeth that were touching a nerve. As I left the office all the staff warmly said goodbye to me. The whole team was absolutely excellent. Thank you all.

I was told to come here because it was a cheaper option since I do not have insurance. I came to do a general dental/oral exam and a few x rays. I explained to an employee wearing a black uniform that I wanted to do an exam and maybe some x rays since I've been having pain. She did a quick check with that mirror tool they use and asked if I was sure I was experiencing pain where I mentioned, and I said yes I'm sure. She went on to do 2 x rays and then sent me back to the waiting room to wait for the dentist. They called me into another room in less than a minute where the dentist told me I have a deep cavity.

He then showed me my x rays and explained what my 2 options were and the cost of them. I said I'd have to consider my options since money is tight right now and then I asked if there was anything else to do, which he said there was not. Total time spent with employee in black uniform and dentist was no more than 10 minutes. I feel like a general dental/oral exam should involve some more checking of the teeth and checking the gums in depth. I don't know if it's different if you get a cleaning or whitening but I just wanted a general exam and I don't feel like that's what I got. They told me the issue with my tooth but didn't spend much time thoroughly looking through my teeth and examining my gums.

. . It's a pretty small place and the first room I went to looked worn down and chipped on the walls like another person mentioned in the reviews.

Horrible Dentists. Don’t bother making it on time to any appointment since they make you wait either way. First they pulled out the wrong tooth that didn’t even have a cavity and told me to come back to do the fillings. I book an appointment and come in today and wait only for the Dentist to tell me that they don’t cover fillings. Which is a lie.

They do cover fillings. They just don’t want to do it because OW doesn’t pay them properly for it which is understandable but why waste my time and make me book a second appointment? They knew all this from my first visit and were willing to work on my teeth but this second visit they had a change of heart and didn’t feel like helping me anymore. Thanks for wasting my time. My first visit I genuinely thought they were good people but now I know they just care about money and are willing to butcher your mouth just so they don’t have to do a filling.

Dr. Tejani has been a God sent, he saw me after an ER visit and quickly came up with a plan of care.

This was the first Emergency Dental clinic who had staff answering their phone in a compassionate matter; versus treating me like a business transaction. It is a busy clinic which runs efficiently and tries to accommodate patients based on their medical and personal needs…BONUS: It is steps away from a subway station
