While the staff up front manning the phones is very professional, the opposite is true for the doctor and at least one of her assistants. They were very curt, indirect, talked about me to each other like I wasn't in the room, and generally treated me like I was stupid. *** I came in with an inflamed gum that was really painful, and the first thing the assistant did when I sat down was painfully shove a x-ray apparatus into my mouth, against my protests that I didn't have a tooth problem and it rubbed right up against where my mouth was hurting. Then she abruptly left me alone for 20 minutes before the doctor came in, didn't introduce herself, and finally came to the conclusion that it wasn't a tooth problem (like I had been saying).
*** The cherry on top was when I went to the pharmacy to collect my prescription. The doctor filled out a script for something I was allergic to, something clearly marked on my chart. I'm guessing she didn't read it before treating or prescribing something for me. I could've had some serious health issues if the pharmacist hadn't caught it.
So needless to say, I'm never going back there, and I'd strongly urge others to rethink going to Farabee as well.

My wife and I both got our teeth cleaned here. The staff were all pleasant enough and we were both given fine teeth-cleanings. However, when my wife went in they told her that she had 6 cavities and periodontal disease; when I went in, they told me that I had 3 cavities and early-stages periodontal disease. Because we both try to take good care of our teeth and because we did not have dental insurance, this came as quite a shock to us. We were told we would have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for deep-cleans and cavity fillings.
On top of this, we were told we would have to come in every three months for the rest of our lives for deep-cleans because of our periodontal disease--but that our teeth would end up all falling out eventually because of it anyway. We were both reduced to tears at this news. When we moved to Minnesota about a month later, we both got appointments to see my wife's uncle, a well-respected dentist in the Minneapolis-St Paul area. He told my wife that she had one cavity and no periodontal disease; he told me that I had no cavities and no periodontal disease. Furthermore, as it turns out, periodontal disease is quite rare for people under the age 45 (My wife is 26 and I am 28).
When we explained to him about Farabee Family Dental's assessments of our teeth and gums he was pretty troubled. To reiterate, Farabee Family Dental wanted us to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to drill holes in our almost entirely cavity-free teeth. Do not take the advice of Farabee Family Dental without getting a second opinion.

RUN, STAY CLEAR! they are scamming many. my friends just got screwed there. wrong procedure done, and also not finished. my friends got screwed out of all their care credits and health insurance there for this procedure. Here's what she had to say bout her experience: ""The dental professionals there are nice but we were duped. We were told one thing while discussing treatment/cost while my husband was in the chair.
We filled out an application for care credit to cover what we thought was the TOTAL of his treatment *minus the 4 wisdom teeth extractions* but low & behold, After 1 root canal,1 crown& 1 filling we had maxed out. (Leaving to be done: another root canal& couple more filings, one of which was a visible tooth with a hole on the outside of the tooth that was what we were TOLD was part of that treatment plan) While I did talk to 2 different people about what they call a "misunderstanding" nothing was resolved! Bottom line is we were told one thing & got something else. . an unfinished mouth. To add insult to injury, while they did apologize they kept saying "it's in black& white" yea, well how did everything change from the chair to the front desk to the approval of care credit. When we signed we thought what was being presented was the 1st step in his care plan.
. . not the ONLY step that was going to be covered. For 4,000 my husband could of gotten a full set of dentures instead of being slowly bled to death financial & having only a quarter of his mouth fixed. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed because the hygienist & dentist were great, kind& comforting but the person handling the communication of cost & what was ACTUALLY GOING TO BE COVERED was a terrible & sneaky experience. ""

Over the past two years I have been seeing Dr. Baines she has been nothing but excellent and professional in her delivery of treatment. I have been through invisalign as well as now going through restoration of implants and veneers because I was born without two front teeth.
She has been involved and detailed in every step of my treatment and I couldn't be happier with the results that I have achieved through the treatment that was done by her. Would highly recommend going to this practice they will take wonderful care of you as well as your dental health.
