My dentist was awesome! He was nice and honest always did a good job. But I stopped going there due to the receptionist is like no matter how kind a patient is with her she comes off bluntly rude and disrespectful. I been there for years once I turned 18 and now I’m 22 I can’t tolerate her behavior and attitude.

She doesn’t give a good example to her young employees right in front of me like that’s very unprofessional and that was my last straw going there. Either than that I would have stayed if the receptionist was nice.

I don’t understand the bad reviews on this place because I don’t have one complaint. The whole staff was so accommodating to my anxiety and really took the the time to fix my teeth. The dentist and the office manager (woman at the front desk) fought for my treatment plan and saved my teeth. They appealed my insurance and I got most of my work done within one visit.

Amazing. And for those reviews complaining of slow service, the office is a smaller office to its counterpart at West Broadway dental which by the way South Paterson Dental is wayyy better. So yes you might have to wait a little more but it’s well worth it. Thank you South Paterson Family Dental

Not recommended. They don’t picked up the phone. Also, always late, the appointment was at 11, they didn’t let me in until 1:30 pm. The receptionists are unprofessional and rude Same complaints for years and nothing changes ——- Update after reading their reply Saying that you don’t pick up the phone because the office was under construction is a lie.

I called when I was in the office, and the phone was muted, while the receptionist was using her phone to give the prescriptions to the pharmacy. Also, the dentist today( 5/11 ) was late and rude as usual. My advice to all people who looking for professional dentists and receptionists, never go to this place.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I work in the area so I decided to find a dentist local to my job… the doctor I saw was not very pleasant. She didn’t explain anything, it seemed she was annoyed when I asked a question & she seemed to be in a rush. She informed me I had 8 cavities.

Could it be possible? I haven’t had a cleaning in almost 2 years, so yes the possibility was there, but I knew it seemed strange to me because my whole life I only had 2 other cavities. I take pretty good care of my teeth… I decided to get a second opinion. I explained the situation to the new dentist & obviously knowing that the prior dentist found 8 cavities she was very demure & very mindful when looking for the cavities. After checking 3 times and reviewing the X-rays she found ONE! One cavity! So this doctor at South Paterson family dentistry was going to put 7 additional fillings in my mouth? For what reason! ? Just to make money off my insurance.

This happened to me when I went to a dentist in Newark. My advice, read reviews, & stay out of the poorer communities. They are just desperate for money and don’t care about their reputations. Go with the reputable doctor- YOU DESERVE IT!
