Southland dental care is a well-established dental clinic located at 522 S Norwood St, Wallace, NC 28466. The practice is led by two experienced dentists, Dr. Joell-Kennedy Parker and Dr. A. Darren Sholar. Both doctors are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate dental care to the community, focusing on building lasting relationships with their patients. Dr. Parker, a native of Beulaville, joined Southland Dental Care in 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from East Carolina University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a General Practice Residency from the Brody School of Medicine at ECU. She has specialized training in dental implants (Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists) and dental sleep medicine (Diplomacy in the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine). Dr. Sholar, born and raised in Duplin County, opened Southland Dental Care in 1996. He graduated from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 1992 and has extensive continuing education, including residencies in implantology and IV sedation.
