My son had braces applied today at Spark Orthodontics. He was a little nervous wondering if it would hurt. His dental technician was so wonderful! Her name was Ajoura ( I hope I'm spelling her name correctly). She was very patient and professional. She explained everything in terms that both my son and I understood. My son felt at ease with her. The doctor was very knowledgeable and kind also.

He explained the plan and answered all the questions we had. He made sure we felt comfortable with the plan before proceeding. They did a great job applying the braces working together as a team. From the entrance door the front office staff was very helpful and greeted us with a smile. First impressions are lasting ones. I'm glad I chose Spark Orthodontics.

I brought my autistic daughter in for braces a few years ago because her father insisted. Either the tech was new, or just very inexperienced with special needs children. My daughter was getting frustrated because the tech kept insisting that she wasn't doing something correctly, and the tech would not allow me to step in to help the situation.

Finally the doctor stepped in to recommend rescheduling. I never did, the experience was stressful!

(New) provider didn’t introduce themself to my son or myself. This particular office location seems to forget universal precautions and basic handwashing procedures. I’ve addressed in the past with another physician at the same office. This should be standard practice…. handwashing is healthcare 101, guys.

You are touching the oral mucosa of MULTIPLE PATIENTS without washing your hands. Changing gloves as an alternative to basic handwashing/hand-sanitization is unacceptable. You made it through 10-12 years of schooling to forget about the basic principles of patient care? Don’t look at me like I’m the jerk for “reminding” you when I ask you to pause and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before grabbing a new pair of gloves. Assistants are kind and caring though…I think they hold down the office and maintain the provider’s flow.
