Dr. Salvatore Ruggiero is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a DMD degree from Harvard Dental School and an MD degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is board-certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Ruggiero is a Clinical Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and practices at Stony Brook Medicine. He has a private practice as a member of the New York Center for Orthognathic and Maxillofacial Surgery (NYCOMS). His expertise covers a full scope of pediatric and adult oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implant reconstruction, jaw reconstruction, and treating patients with facial cleft deformities. He has a particular interest in the management and surgical treatment of traumatic trigeminal nerve injuries and osteonecrosis of the jaw.

I had work done by thee Dr. Ruggiero & i was damaged SEVERELY by a reg. general dentist through a route canal where the cement like material was railroaded into my trigemenial nerve & very risky to operate on that area but Dr. Ruggiero went in & saved it! He was kind as was his staff & even the other drs.

sooo professional & seriously a EXTREMELY TALENTED DR. TY DR. RUGGIERO!!! Ty also to his staff!!! All of you are talented & are in the perfect line of work!!! Ty sooo much & this was over 10 years ago!!! I’m much much better then I was!!!

Best experience ever!!!! Dr. Ruggiero was so kind, thorough and knowledgeable on all ends .

He took the time to explain the procedure and recovery process in detail with me, which made me feel so comfortable and safe- I knew I was in the right hands! The procedure itself was virtually painless! The office staff is so welcoming and sweet. Amazing experience, would definitely recommend to all family and friends!!!
