Angie (dental hygienist) was very pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately, in the room next to me was a patient listening to a conference call at a loud volume without headphones and I’m certain all the other patients in the office could hear the call for over 30 minutes.

My overall experience was very poor as the patient listening to his conference call, while he was getting his teeth cleaned, was extremely rude with no concern for other people in the office.

This was only my second visit to this office since my longtime dentist, Dr. Teramae, retired after joining this practice last year. I had an excellent experience meeting my new dentist, Dr. Sowal, and my hygienist, Cierra. Today, I learned a few essential details about dental health: 1. I had no idea about the importance of tongue scraping! Drinking coffee coats your tongue and makes it easier for bacteria and germs to build up.

As I understand it, using a tongue scraper removes bacteria, food particles, and other debris. It’s recommended to do this twice a day. 2. I’m not the best at flossing my teeth, so Cierra suggested this tip to improve my technique. The tip is a water pik flosser to get under my bridge work and push out food from my teeth. Cierra, thank you for your dental hygiene recommendations and for being personable

This is such a wonderful practice. I was just a number and an income source at a large dental practice in another Pennsylvania town and my husband and I never felt comfortable there. Susquehanna East Dental has been on time with my appointments and provided personalized, excellent and friendly care. Just what I have been looking for since I moved to Pennsylvania from Maryland!
