Everyone was very nice and I’m sure they did what needed to be done to my teeth, but I feel that their practice is very pushy, especially after hearing a similar experience from a co-worker. I ended up paying $3000 out of pocket for a deep cleaning because insurance only reimbursed me $400. My fault for not asking enough questions, but I was also terrified of losing my teeth after everything they told me, which I now realize was not as bad as it was made to seem.

Very nice people but ask all the questions because they are not forthcoming with information, get a second opinion, and talk to your insurance before committing to work done here.

Dr. Valentine is the most caring and thoughtful Periodontist I have ever worked with! He really took care in each implant case and took the time to really explain everything step by step. I feel very lucky to have Dr. Valentine as our family dentist. Would definitely recommend!

Dr Valentine and his staff made the process of getting an implant as good as it could have been. I have a fear of dental work and was very nervous about getting one done, but Dr Valentine and his whole staff made me feel comfortable and feel confident that I was in good hands. My tooth was a front tooth that was visible every time I open my mouth so I was thrilled he was able to do such a good job. He also recommended me to a dentist who could do a good crown.

She did fabulous work too and my finished result looks as natural as a regular tooth. Thank you to Dr Valentine and his staff for restoring my smile.

Coming to the Durham office (245 NC 54) from points west, the Waze GPS app sent me to Duke Health, whose address is 234 Crooked Creek Pkwy--one left turn too soon. Once I got into that maze, Waze sent me in circles. Two minutes after my appt. time, I called THP&ID to say I'd be late. The operator said she would notify the front desk. For first-time patients, there is very limited signage from Highway 54; the brick sign at the entrance has 3 green trees: SOUTHPOINT PROFESSIONAL CENTER: 245, 249, 253 .

Despite being late, the front-desk staff was very accommodating and agreed to see me. Dr. Valentine was friendly, clear and professional. Great practice, but getting to the correct building from 54 Eastbound was tricky for a new patient.
