I've been contemplating whether or not I should post my review, but every time I think back to my first interaction with Dr Tate and his hygienist, I get upset. I came to Dr Tate with some dental issues, obviously. I have severe depression and it makes it hard to take care of my teeth. When I told this to him and his hygienist, they didn't really care. I felt judged and I didn't feel like anything I said mattered. I went back a second time, he ground my gum away and told me it would grow back. .

. months later it still has not. I have avoided dentists because of the shame I carry with my mental health and this was just another experience that will keep me from getting the care I need. If you have mental health conditions that keep you from taking care of your teeth, don't come here. I did not feel valued or cared about.

I live 30-40 minutes away from Dr Tate office and I was trying to find a closer office to my home and leave Dr Tate . I called a closer officer and the receptionist of this closer office, was throw off by my accent and repetitive reminded me they only take real insurance no Medicare, after i confirm i had insurance. When this person asked if I want an appointment I have to tell her No Thank you. That Dr Tate receptionist is kind to me and she is worth it for me to drive.

If I am having communication issues at this point I can't even imagine. . It was interesting the receptionist understood that very well. Thank you Dr Tate for having a competent staff I will keep driving my family there
