Detailed Introduction

Tennessee Valley Endodontics, Inc. is a highly specialized dental practice located at 11217 W Point Dr STE 2, Knoxville, TN 37934. The clinic is solely dedicated to endodontic care, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of issues related to the dental pulp and roots, most notably root canal therapy. The practice is led by Dr. Richard E. Moore, a respected endodontic specialist and a member of the American Association of Endodontists. The clinic prides itself on providing comfortable, exceptional care, utilizing advanced technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy and treatment predictability. Dr. Moore was among the first endodontists in Knoxville to incorporate a surgical microscope, one of the first to use digital X-rays, and the first in Tennessee to integrate 3D (Cone Beam CT) radiography into his practice. These technologies allow for precise visualization and treatment of complex cases, including narrow or blocked canals, unusual anatomy, and retreatments. Services offered by Tennessee Valley Endodontics, Inc. include: Root Canal Therapy: The primary service, addressing infected or damaged tooth pulp to save natural teeth and prevent the need for extractions, implants, or bridges. Endodontic Retreatment: Addressing cases where a previous root canal treatment has failed to heal or pain persists. Endodontic Surgery (Apicoectomy): Procedures to locate root-end fractures or hidden canals not visible on X-rays, treat damaged root surfaces, or address chronic problems in the surrounding bone. Treatment of Cracked Teeth: Diagnosing and treating cracks that can lead to pulp infection. Management of Traumatic Dental Injuries: Addressing teeth that have been dislodged or injured due to trauma. Tennessee Valley Endodontics operates as a "paperless/all digital" office, offering convenience to both patients and referring dentists, who can securely access treatment information online. The clinic's mission is to provide the finest endodontic care in the Southeast, adhering to the highest standards of infection control and a patient-centric approach that aims to make every visit as comfortable as possible. Patient testimonials often highlight the expertise of Dr. Moore and his staff, emphasizing their compassionate care, thorough explanations, and commitment to pain-free experiences.

Outstanding service! Dr. Moore and his assistant are remarkable. They are very patient, explain everything and answer all questions and you never feel rushed. I have had 2 root canals here and no complaints. No pain during the procedure. I highly recommend this office.

Great Experience, My Dentist sent me to Dr. Moore for a root canal (my first one). I was so impressed by the staff they were super nice and comforting. Dr.

Moore made sure that I was really comfortable and not in any pain during the procedure. If I ever need another root canal I will ONLY go back here. I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again for all your hard work and making me feel at ease!!! :)

My visit was very informative as far as the treatment. I was quoted 2 separate fees, one $400+ if the procedure could be completed and $300 if it couldn't. Turns out that it couldn't be completed so I paid the $300 thinking that was it. Well about a month later I get a bill for an additional $208. Not understanding why, especially since the insurance paid them an additional $476. 70.

I called the office to find out why I received this bill. I was never informed that they didn't accept my insurance and I was never informed to expect a bill for any balance. This office is not transparent with their patients. I am paying this bill under protest. This is no way to run a business.

I was referred to Dr. Moore for a possible Root Canal. Starting with Leann at the front desk, to Shelia the Dental Assistant and ending with Dr. Moore himself I have never felt such a level of care by any other dentist or staff that I have ever visited.

I say this with true sincerity as I have had to have extensive dental restoration work done to my entire mouth as a result of a traumatic injury. I would highly recommend anyone to this practice for any and all Endodontics needs.
