Detailed Introduction

The Facial Pain Center is a dedicated clinic located at 1835 County Rd C West #200, Roseville, MN 55113, with a primary focus on the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of Temporomandibular Joint (TMD) disorders and Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Established in 1987, the clinic has grown to serve patients across several convenient locations throughout the Twin Cities, indicating a multi-location clinic structure rather than an individual practice. The center emphasizes a patient-centered approach, providing individualized treatment plans. Their team consists of experienced doctors, including DDS professionals like Dr. Jeffrey R. Remakel and Dr. Patricia Fernandes Boettner, who possess specialized training and knowledge in facial pain, occlusion, and sleep apnea. They work collaboratively with other medical professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and psychologists, to address the root causes of their patients' discomfort and ensure holistic care. Key services offered by The Facial Pain Center include: TMD Therapy: Diagnosis and treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders, which can cause jaw pain, headaches, and other related symptoms. They aim to pinpoint the cause of discomfort and provide lasting relief. Sleep Apnea Treatment: Management of obstructive sleep apnea, often through the use of dental sleep appliances, in collaboration with sleep physicians, to improve sleep quality and overall health. Comprehensive Pain Management: Their approach focuses on treating causes rather than just symptoms, leading to more effective and long-term relief for patients. They also work to educate patients on their conditions and treatment options. The Facial Pain Center is committed to providing high-quality care, as evidenced by positive patient satisfaction ratings and testimonials. They accept various insurance plans, including HMO and PPO, to make treatment accessible.

Dr. Fernandes was very pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, her office staff were rather incompetent. My TMJ/TMD is rather painful and I was barely able to open my jaw. The office staff never forwarded my referrals for PT or for the MRI's. The imaging center wouldn't take the MRI's without the referral.

I was never able to get through to Dr. Fernandes office on the phone, and I did leave a message with the office. No response. I was finally able to get through and cancel my future appointment. It's a shame, because Dr. Fernandes was really good

What a horrible experience.... They expect payment at time of visit, overcharge you and refuse to refund your money. They do not mail statements of your account balance. The only way you know they are overcharging is your insurance EOB. IT TOOK 8 MONTHS TO RECEIVE AN OVERPAYMENT REFUND!!!

Overall, the visit was just OK. It gave me basic information. I felt the doctor spent more time on her computer during the visit than talking with me, and it was not clear to me exactly what the plan was for the visit, until towards the end of it. It would have helped if she had told me, at the outset, what she would and would not do during the visit. I was not happy that I had to pay out-of-pocket for this, so that was a concern. Finally, at the end of the visit she gave me a sheet of paper with Three Jaw Exercises on it. That was helpful, but the paper had no indication of how many reps to do for each exercise.

It did say 3-4 x a day, but no info on reps each time. I looked online for that info. I think you can up your game on the handout. It's pretty rough. I would include some basic graphics for each exercise.

In all my years of writing reviews on google, this is the only place that has gotten reviews removed. Twice. So here it is once again! Stop at the walmart down the road to pick up some Aleve instead. It'll fix you up better for 1/30th the price and 1/2 the time than the scammers at this useless place If you still come here, expect to be told there's nothing that can be done about your pain.

You'll be given some stretches and exercises that you, since you're in pain, have already found for free on google images. As the doctor you're paying hundreds of dollars to walks through images a child could understand, you look at her and notice that she doesn't believe any of this BS will help either. But she drones on, because they're billing by the minute. So really, this place is great if you want to pretend a doctor you paid for will do anything.

Got billed 300 bucks for a "45 minute" appointment. You'll sit on your ass waiting for 20 minutes, have some useless "Specialist" give you a pamphlet then charge you a full 45 minutes for it. And then once you write a bad review, they *know* they're so awful that they have someone watching to get them removed. Hello to the shill reading this!
