This practice is singularly focused on providing exceptional oral healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs. Dr. Monica Sharma brings a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to her practice. As both a mother and a healthcare provider, she deeply understands the unique needs of children during dental visits, emphasizing the importance of patience, care, and a child-friendly setting. She obtained her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) with honors from New York University and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National dental honor society. Her residency, affiliated with Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, provided extensive experience in treating medically complex patients and handling dental emergencies in a hospital setting. She also earned a master's degree in pediatric dentistry, with research focused on the "Effectiveness and sustainability of ABA based desensitization on the success of dental treatment in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder." Tiny Tooth Pediatric Dentistry offers a comprehensive range of services designed to promote lifelong oral health. These services include: Preventive Care: Regular check-ups, professional cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants to prevent cavities and maintain optimal oral hygiene. Restorative Procedures: Fillings, crowns, and other treatments to address cavities and restore damaged teeth with a conservative, minimally invasive approach. Special Needs Dentistry: Specialized care tailored to children with unique healthcare requirements, ensuring comfortable and effective treatment. Sedation Dentistry: Options like nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") and potentially other forms of sedation to help anxious children relax during procedures, making their dental experience positive. Emergency Dental Care: Prompt attention for dental emergencies to address discomfort and urgent issues swiftly. CO2 Laser for Frenectomies: Utilizing advanced technology for precise and comfortable procedures. The practice is designed with children's comfort and well-being in mind. They avoid open bay areas in favor of private treatment rooms, providing a more personalized and less intimidating environment. The office incorporates modern comforts and amenities, such as Greenguard and Certified Asthma & Allergy friendly materials for low emissions, TVs on the ceiling with access to Disney+ and Netflix, iPad stations, and a dedicated play area in the waiting room. The team is known for being gentle, friendly, and committed to making every visit a positive experience, aiming to build a foundation of trust and good oral habits that will last into adulthood. Dr. Sharma and her team prioritize patient education, taking the time to explain treatments and provide parents with strategies for maintaining healthy smiles at home.

Full stop. Do NOT go here! Took both my boys to this dentist at the end of June and it has been a headache ever since. Definitely not a warm and friendly place. Our amazing pediatric dentist retired and we were on the hunt for a new one. Sadly, this is not where you want to take your two year old for there first checkup , nor a five year old who had no issues with going to the dentist prior to going to Tiny Tooth is now terrified ! As a teacher, I plan our cleaning appointments for breaks. I Completed all the necessary intake paperwork ( including all of our insurance info) well in advance of this appt- weeks and weeks prior. No courtesy screening was done prior to make sure we were in our “ six month” cleaning allotment timeframe. While this is not something I’ve ever had to worry about as our prior adult and pediatric dentist ran our benefits prior to know what would be covered or not.

Long story short -we were billed the entire amount since this cleaning was done 10 days too early. When I inquired with tiny tooth I received basically an “ oh, that’s too bad”. I let them know I would be following up with a call to my insurance to sort it out. This takes time. A few weeks later they just went ahead and charged my card they had on file for the remaining amount. Yikes! No prior authorization from me and they even knew I was in the middle of this dispute. They are just money hungry and have very little care for the patient ( again, this was our very first visit with them! ) She also suggested doing a “ interim carries medication application “ on four of my five year olds teeth. We totally got played on this service and she was just upselling us.

I thought I could trust what she was advising and went ahead with this very expensive application. After multiple emails to get my sons X-rays sent over to me after the appt I had another dentist review and he said this is not a service typically done on kids and my sons X-rays looked completely fine! Overall very shady practices done at this office. Lots of red flags during the appointment I should have trusted my mama gut too and extremely poor customer service. I do not recommend this practice or dentist. I have “receipts” of everything discussed above. - Lauren Westbrook

This was our first visit to Dr. Sharma and as a parent I was very much impressed with her process and care for the children.

She was very thorough technically but also extremely diligent and respectful with my daughter, always asking permission from her before doing anything, it was very obvious her bedside manor created a very comfortable environment for all of us! As far as technical expertise her process and ability to clearly communicate her assessment was very impressive. Highly recommended!

Dr. Monica is warm and caring, and the staff is wonderful. She makes herself available and really cares for the kids. She goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable during their visits, and she also explains things well to the parents. We’re so grateful we found her!

I received startling news regarding my son's teeth by another dentist that had no availability to treat said concerns. I reached out to a trusted adult dentist that provided Tiny Tooth as one of a few recommendations. I called and Dr. Monica happened to be the one to answer since front desk was busy. She helped decrease my panic and got us scheduled immediately. We got in and sadly I felt hit with attacks that I am bad with dental care. EVERYONE that knows my son talks about how much teeth cleaning we do. I was just horrified this was our life.

I was wanting help since something was obviously wrong. Thankfully I had xrays from the last year and a half on my phone. She took time to review those. Apparently it's been an issue not identified or mentioned by others. That helped me feel a little better, but it didn't take away from the attack I initially felt. My son was treated with respect which was nice. Prices were triple other facilities which is hard to stomach, but I just did it since I felt I had no option or time to wait. Thankfully she took the time to help provide the education so we do not end up down this path again.

Unfortunately, I don't really have the income to balance out her costs so I have to do some decisions to make. I'm thankful she spoke with me and got me a life dental treatment plan when others would not even speak to me. The education will last our generations and I am EXTREMELY thankful for that. I was pushing to get my son treatment sooner rather than later which is why most of our stuff was rushed. She took time to ensure my son was prepared before she would even get equipment ready.
