I had an extremely frustrating experience with Tyson’s Modern Dentistry. I went in for a temporary filling, and it fell out three times. Instead of taking accountability for their mistake, they are now telling me to go back to my regular dentist to fix their poor work. Beyond the subpar dental care, the communication at this office is terrible. No one kept me informed about what was happening or what to expect, and I had to chase down answers myself.

To make matters worse, the front desk staff was dismissive, making an already frustrating situation even more stressful. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality care or basic professionalism. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m 28, take good care of my teeth, and have great dental insurance—yet somehow I ended up paying over $1,000 out of pocket after visiting this office. They recommended multiple treatments that didn’t seem necessary, especially considering my clean dental history. They also took extra photos and imaging that weren’t covered by insurance, and none of it was clearly communicated upfront.

What’s really upsetting is that I’ve never had to pay more than $20 to $100 at the dentist before, so this completely caught me off guard—especially with a newborn at home and expenses already being tight. It’s honestly sad to think you could get taken advantage of at a dentist’s office. I trusted that everything being done was essential and covered, but now I feel like I was upsold on things I didn’t need. Do not go here, RUN the other way.

If you do end up going here I strongly recommend asking for a full cost breakdown before agreeing to anything.

Dr Wasser was fantastic. She talked me through all the steps and reminded me of my need to floss (maybe one day). The hygienist (Naz) was super. She took extra care of my teeth as they are sensitive and i hardly felt anything.

I went a week ago for my first appointment in years. I have always been nervous and being on the spectrum, I have never found a calm or accommodating practice. As fate would have it, I believed I had a cavity and thus was the first place with availability.

The office was quiet, clean, and everyone took their time explaining things to me and let me ask questions. I think this will be my new practice for now and I appreciate the time and care they put into Making my smile pretty!
